Hi! We’ve had our lionhead bunnies for a little over a month now, and we’ve just been using a slickerbrush with plastic balls on the end like we use on our cat. It seems to work okay, but the tines (or whatever they’re called, I’m not sure..) are really spaced out and since their fur is so fine I’m not sure it’s the BEST brush to be using? I did a search and poked around some old forum posts, and heard a lot about the hairbuster but I can’t find it anywhere. It also sounds like bristle brushes (boar bristle?) are good for fine, long haired bunnies. I was thinking about getting a furminator, but after hearing about how you can really hurt/irritate the bunnies skin, I don’t think I’ll be getting one (except maybe for my cat when he starts shedding bad).
So, can any other lionhead/longhaired bunny owners help me out? I’m really scared of them getting blockages, so I want to do whatever I can to avoid that happening.
