Best age to bond?

  So I’ve spent all day thinking about Poppy and whether to get her friend. I figure the more the merrier! I want to wait until Poppy is desex and toilet train, what age is best to start the bonding process?

  Personally, I think it’s best to wait until you’ve had your first rabbit for a year or so. This will give you plenty of time to bond with her and allow her to grow up and be less crazy.
  
  In general, it doesn’t really matter what age the bunny is as long as they’ve been fixed for at least 4 weeks. It’s more important that you find a bunny they are compatible with (through bunny dating).

  I agree with Elrohwen. Wait until Poppy is one year and desexed. Then you can look into adopting an adult, desexed rabbit from the same shelter you got her from.

  For Arduina’s one year birthday, we took her bunny dating! Thats when we brought home Leo. Although it was more Leo who was in love with her than her in love with him.
  
  Bonding does take lots of time, more so than I though from the beginning. Just make sure you are ready to handle it. It also helps to have someone there with you to help you through the process (like hold one bunny while you get the other one, or run to go get the forgotten spray bottle).
