        Howdy!

I have a question about bedding for bunnies.

I’ve been using fleece blankets since I got my bunny Westley (I’ve had him since August). I used the same bedding for my guinea pigs years ago and they never showed interest in chewing it up, but Wes has been going at it since I got him.

I’m not sure that he’s actually ingesting the blankets rather than just chewing them up, but I’m sure it’s still not great for him.

What type of bedding do you use for your bunnies? Just the typical fluffy shreds from the pet store?

        Thanks!!

If he’s litter trained, bedding shouldn’t be necessary. If he isn’t, the fleece is what a lot of people use. You can also use Carefresh, but you’ll really have to monitor him at first to make sure he isn’t ingesting any.

I use the carefresh as Luna’s litter. She’s litter trained so I don’t use any bedding for her cage.
