Recently my rabbit that I had only owned for just 5 months passed away from unknown causes. I couldn’t prevent her death as she showed absolutely no symptoms, something rabbits seem to be amazing at.

She was the first rabbit I have ever owned. She taught me many things. I fell so deeply in love with her.

When I came home from school she was the first thing I would think of. I would race up the stairs just to see her run up and greet me.

She was my best friend. She would comfort me in my hardest times. She was such a naughty bun especially when she would chew up my shirts but gosh did I truly adore her.

But if I could keep her one more day I would give her all my shirts to chew because I never really got to say goodbye.

        I love you.

Forever in our hearts Sophie x

I am very sorry for your loss. It is so very hard when we don’t know what took them. I hope her passing was quick and peaceful, at least.

Oh the naughty buns… I am rather fond of them. She sounds like she brought you a lot of joy despite the destruction.

I’m so sorry about Sophie. It’s so evident that you loved her greatly. It’s very hard not to know what happened. I too had a bunny who made holes in all my bed linen and t-shirts and socks. I still smile when I discover “new” holes I hadn’t seen before.

              Binky free, sweet little Sophie.

It’s so hard to lose a bun. Take comfort in the fact that you gave her a life and love that not all buns get to have. I’m sure she loved you as much as you did her.
