Amelia has been super picky about her hay since I brought her home. I’ve bought every type of oxbow hay and she will eat about half of a small bag and then decide she is over it and doesn’t want to eat it anymore, the only other brand my pet stores carry is kaytee and it just looks grey so we haven’t tried it. She ate the Timothy hay from her breeder fantastically, but I can’t get anything that fresh.

Earlier this week a make an order with small pet select and ordered her a variety of different hays, and they should be delivered today. I ordered her second cut Timothy but I suspect she would have preferred the third cut, their orchard medley (orchard grass with clover leaves and flowers) and their gourmet hay which is a mix of second cut Timothy, orchard, alfalfa, raspberry leaf, strawberry leaf, rose petals, plantain, bay leaf, dandelion leaf, chamomile, oat tops, and lemon verbena.

I’m hoping that one of these will answer the needs for her royal pickiness

Ha! My bunnies turned their noses up to several different hays, including Oxbow timothy and Orchard grass. They absolutely love Friendly Green Oat Readigrass. They eat tons.

I just received my order of small pet select 2nd cut timothy hay, and I was quite happy with the quality of the hay!! ollie (who isn’t as picky) seems to love it even more than oxbow, and my newer and younger bun leo likes it as well. It took him a little while to get used to it, but he seems to enjoy it now!! good luck

I’m hoping that she likes it, with the oxbow I’m pretty sure I throw away more that she has discarded then she actually eats

American Pet Diner Timothy Gold, a second cutting timothy, is one of my bunnies’ favorite hays. They sell it at Petco (24 oz. bags) and several places online. At drsfostersmith.com, they have the 24 oz bag and a 5 pound bag.

Thanks @Toby, I will look into that. I don’t hit our petco very often but I will certainly give it a try if none of these options pan out

I ordered Luna some crazy tasty hay from bingalingstore.com and she loves it. When I bring the bag out of the closet she runs over binking and will start circling the bag, she gets so excited. I also ordered the 2nd cut timothy from sps and she liked it too, but she doesn’t get excited for it like she does crazy tasty hay. I ordered it because I noticed she hadn’t been eating as much sps as she usually did so I thought she might be bored with the taste. She will not eat any oxbo hay except there oat hay.

Thank you! I will certainly take a look after seeing how this order goes

Well I opened the box and she hopped right in and helped herself to the hay, she dug at the bag of orchard grass and clover, tried desperately to get into the gourmet hay and has devoured half of one of the spiral toys. You would swear I never feed this bun
