  How often do you bathed rabbits? I think we have given Nutmeg 3 baths in the whole year we have had her. None for Sage yet.

  Why would you need to give your bunny a bath? Baths’ are very stressful for buns, and aren’t necessary. They clean themselves just fine, and stay clean as long as their cage and litterbox are.

  We gave Nutmeg a bath cause she always had clumps of poo stuck to her.

  Butt baths are okay if there is a poopy butt problem going on. A healthy rabbit shouldn’t need a bath though under normal circumstances.

  I agree with the others that bathing is not recommended (unless their is a ‘poopy butt’ issue) because it is so stressful.
  Rubbing cornstarch into your bunny’s fur and then brushing it out can remove odour and some stains, if you would like to try that out.

  I bathe my rabbit only when she needs since she also gets the poopy-butt problem. But even then, the “baths” are maybe an inch of warm-ish water in an unused litterbox that she gets to sit in for a minute or so to break down the clumps. She hates it, though, so I avoid the water altogether if I can. Usually I can get clumps off with a damp cloth and working on it.
