  Hey all! How’s it going?
  
  Yesterday my brother put a soccer ball in my rabbit’s pen. She cuddled up with it and pretended it was another rabbit. She didn’t seem to want to chew it
  
  I was wondering, would it be safe to put a soccer ball or a football or something if the sort in her pen? She doesn’t want to chew it, but will she have the desire to chew it later? If so, are sport balls made of safe material?

  Generally no, athletic balls are not made from safe material. That being said, are they toxic? .. I don’t know. If your rabbit is not chewing on them at all reliably, I don’t think it would hurt to have them for engagement! A rabbit’s chewing preferences can change over time, so just check it often.

    Is there anything I could do to ensure she wouldn’t chew it, or would I just need to watch for bite marks and remove it if I see any?
