Bad news…*not bun or other animal related*

Well…hello guys. I don’t know what to write. But…Over the weekend I had a really big tummy. We took me into the doctors today. They did an ultrasound, I have a 15 centimeter cyst in my belly. That’s HUGE…They don’t know what it is yet, I’m going in tomorrow for more tests. That’s all for now, I don’t know what to say or think or do. I might need surgery, I don’t know what’s causing it. -Mame

I’m not sure how big 15 cm is, but I had a “grapefruit” sized cyst discovered in my abdomen (actually two – one had burst) and found out I had endometriosis. It is not life-threatening. It has to do with misplaced cells from the lining of your uterus. It is treatable and goes away totally with menopause. So if you’ve ever had difficulty with your “female plumbing” (painful?) then it could be what they are seeing. Often goes undiagnosed for years so cysts can get very large but once spotted, it’s understood. Not something I would wish on anyone, but a benign possibility that’s more scary to learn about than to live with after removal.
