Hey everyone, I’m here again with a continuing problem.
I previously posted last month thinking Ozzy was having problems with his pellets, but even after taking him off of them completely the problem was still occurring. I’m certain that it’s gas, but I just cannot figure out what is causing it. /:
It’s gotten so predictable lately, too.
It always happens mid-morning, he’ll randomly slow down and just sit in his box looking uncomfortable. His belly gets pretty firm, so I give him tummy rubs for as long as he’ll tolerate it. Some days this works, other days I need to give him some medicine his vet previously gave us to help out. It’s been happening more often recently and I’m getting so frustrated; I’ve tried everything I can to figure out what’s behind all of this. I took his pellets away (didn’t work, so I think I’ll start introducing them back into his diet), I’ve been grooming him as much as I can, his teeth have been checked… I don’t know what else to do at this point.
It happened yesterday morning and today most recently. He’s been eating his hay and veggies just fine, he was still pooping when it started up this morning- he was actually eating a good amount of cecals, too. More than I usually see him eating, I don’t know if that could indicate anything. s: Maybe it’s one of the veggies he’s eating? I give him spring mix, but I tend to avoid too much of some of the things that are in there like kale. I feel like I’m grasping at straws now, haha.
Anyone have any suggestions?
