Hi! I’ve posted on BB a few times already, but I just wanted to introduce myself and my bunny.
We live in Texas, so Anais (Holland Lop) is an indoor bun. She’s 8.5 weeks old and she’s been with me for 2 weeks (yes, I know she should’ve come home at 8 weeks – circumstances came and pushed the date up).
Anais settled in just a few hours after arriving home. I was expecting to deal with so much, from diarrhea to GI stasis to shyness, only to find myself with an extroverted bun that not only ate from my hand but binkied and flopped within hours of arriving. She groomed me with licks and soft bites on the 3rd day. And to top it off, she’s doing extremely well with litter training, esp. for a baby bun. Most of what I have to pick up is clean carefresh litter that falls out of the box. I could not be more thankful to have her as my first bunny.
She’s been to the exotic vet already and is all healthy except for some nasty mites – but we got Revolution for that. She is spay-legged (her right hind foot is slightly rotated outward) so I think that means she’s a special needs bun? Not sure. Anyway, we’ll be getting some straw mats for her soon for traction in both her playpen cages (4ft by 5ft each).
She’s very curious and alert, but also not prone to freaking out at all. She likes to be petted (3 purrs in these 2 weeks so far), and likes to use your feet as obstacles to jump over. She is just so sweet, I could pet her all day.
Here she is (if I attach the picture right):
