Soooo my dear betta passed away and I set up a community tank…I did tons of research and set up a livebearer/corydora tank. I think I’m doing ok and I love the tank-so much to watch with more than one fish. I did the learning and let Dave pick the fish from a list of possibles. This is great because he’s interested in the tank now, which is nice, but also he’ll stick his hand in there when needed-because ewwww I can’t!

Sooo I really didn’t think it’d be an issue since fish eat eggs and babies…but my livebearer’s bear’d (sp??? lol)-I have two platty babies and at LEAST 10 Molly babies…Seriously…I’m like a fish breeder now…
It’s incredible though you’d think they’d get eaten and yet they are eating with my huge sailfin male!!! The platty babies hid for weeks and did well-at two. The molly babies were like ‘we’re here get used to it’ -no hiding, just out and fine to boot!
I’ll snap a video soon of them eating with the big guys! Cannot believe it.
Any aquarium people who have any idea what to do with babies? Find homes? Petstore? Anyone who keeps livebearers must deal with this…right?
