Do you have any pix of your pens that are shown in the webcams other than the ones shown on the Habitats section? I want a closer look at the giant hay feeders I see in the webcams. Thx.

I bought the first two at PETCO (before all the rabbit selling nonsense!)  Well, in San Francisco, pet stores aren’t allowed to sell rabbits period.   And the willow hay rack, I bought at a local shop in San Francisco  – B&B Pet supply.

The willow one though I can’t use in Rucy’s cage because she treats it like a litterbox.   The other ones are two thin to really offer comfortable support for her to sit in.

I tried to take pictures, but since  I really pile the hay in, they are hard to see, so I figured product pictures I found online would be better.

There is controversy about selling bunnies because so many bunnies die each year in shelters, and are waiting in rescues and shelters today for someone to adopt them.  Also, rabbit babies are an impulse buy for many people, who don’t know what caring for a rabbit requires or who expect their children to care for the rabbit, and then the rabbit ends up abandoned when it becomes difficult to care for.  The big chain pet stores moved away from selling kittens and puppies some time ago, opting instead to put adoption centers in the stores that are staffed by shelter and rescue people.  Those of us in rabbit rescue are trying to do the same thing for rabbits, and many of us will not shop at stores that sell live bunnies.
