At what age can babies have veggies introduced?

My holland lop is 10 weeks old. His water bottle was apparently a cheapo and leaked like a siv so I fed him some moist carrot while I ran to buy a glass bottle. I later I read that baby bun tummies are sensitive and should only have pellet and hay in the beginning. I have already bought carrots, kale,spinach, sugar snap peas, blackberries and raspberries to share with him but now I’m not sure if he’s old enough? At what age is it safe to introduce veggies/fruits? Was doing unlimited hay, and planning to do mostly veggies with a 1/2c pellet (16% protein)

12 weeks is the tecommended age for veggie-intro. But there is a suspicion that early intro of vegs have been blamed for diarrhea in young buns that actually had nothing to do with the vegs, but instead was coccidiosis, an infection caused by a certain type of micro organisms.
How did he react to the carrot? If his tummy is fine with that, you can start introducing vegs now imo – but little by little, a small piece of one veg, wait a day, if tummy is fine, a small piece of another veg -as you probably understand he can’t possibly eat all the stuff you’ve bought for him before it spoils. You will have to eat most of it yourself. But I have to say it’s so very sweet of you to have bought all that yummy stuff to share with him You will be able to do that in the future, but for now you need to go slow.

Thank you! Since everything in his liter box looked normal I went ahead and gave him half a sugar snap pea to try. I can polish off he veggies while he’s still being introduced to them. That’s good advice to take it slow. I will stick to mostly hay and pellet until he gets older and increase his fruits and veggies over the next couple months. Thanks so much for the advice!
