What is your zodiac sign and your Asian zodiac sign? Do you agree/disagree with the traits it comes with? ![]()
How to find out your Asian zodiac sign
http://www.astrology.com/chinese-astrology
I am a Gemini (May 25th) in Astrology. In the Asian Zodiac, I am a Fire Rabbit ![]()
Fire adds an unspoken magnetism and mystery to the Rabbit. These creatures have a burning desire to get out there and live life to its fullest. They are active and adventurous and love anything that sparks their creativity or curiosity. They can throw tantrums here and there, if provoked, but most of the time they work very hard to avoid conflict or unpleasant confrontations. Fire Rabbits are charming and tend to push their emotions into the backs of their minds, but will speak up if necessary.
in astology i am a cancer (july 12) in asian zodiac i am the pig
Contrary to its rather negative reputation in the West, the Pig of Chinese Astrology may be the most generous and honorable Sign of the Zodiac. Pigs are nice to a fault and possess impeccable manners and taste. They have so much of the perfectionist in them that others may be inclined to perceive them as snobs, but this is a misconception. Pigs are simply possessed of a truly luxurious nature, one that delights in finery and riches (in surroundings, food, lovemaking and otherwise). This Sign believes in the best qualities of mankind and certainly doesn’t consider itself to be superior. Pigs also care a great deal about friends and family and work hard to keep everyone in their life happy. Helping others is a true pleasure for the Pig, who feels best when everyone else is smiling. A Pig with no one around to appreciate its giving nature is a sad sight. Pigs are so magnanimous they can appear almost saintly; this can lead some less-than-well-intentioned souls to stomp all over this Sign, and the bad news is, the Pig will take the blows! Pigs make great companions in part because of their refusal to see the more negative or base qualities in a partner, but that rose-colored view can lead to this Sign’s allowing itself to be taken advantage of. Contrary to their seemingly benign dispositions, however, Pigs can be quite venomous in response to being crossed by a lover, friend or business partner. Pigs are highly intelligent creatures, forever studying, playing and probing in their quest for greater knowledge. They can be misinterpreted as being lazy, however, due to their love of reveling in the good stuff; this Sign could happily spend hours on end making love, napping, taking a long bubble bath or dallying over an incredible spread of rich foods. Pigs tend to make wonderful life partners due to their hearts of gold and their love of family. Even so, Pigs can be rather exclusive, choosing to spend time with those who will appreciate them most and ignore the rest of the populace. Pigs would do well to realize that there’s more to life than being needed. When they open up their world to a diverse group of people, they will truly bloom.
(that was really long and i didnt know how to paraphrase it)
that is all true, but whats with all the lovemaking mentioned?!![]()
I’m a cancer (June 22) and I think it fits me creepily well. My Chinese sign if the Horse:
Thank goodness for open spaces, because the Horse needs plenty of room to roam! Energetic, good with money and very fond of travel, Horses are the nomads of the Chinese Zodiac, roaming from one place or project to the next. All of this Sign’s incessant activity and searching may be to satisfy a deep-rooted desire to fit in. Paradoxically, Horses feel a simultaneous yearning for independence and freedom. Horses crave love and intimacy, which is a double-edged sword since it often leads them to feel trapped. Love connections tend to come easily to Horses, since they exude the kind of raw sex appeal that is a magnet to others. This Sign tends to come on very strong in the beginning of the relationship, having an almost innate sense of romance and seduction. Horses are seducers in general; check out any A-list party and you’re bound to find the Horse in attendance. This Sign possesses a sharp wit and a scintillating presence; it really knows how to work a crowd. Surprisingly, Horses tend to feel a bit inferior to their peers, a misconception that causes them to drift from group to group out of an irrational fear of being exposed as a fraud. An impatient streak can lead Horses to be less than sensitive to others’ needs. These colts would rather take a situation firmly in hand as opposed to waiting for others to weigh in or come to terms with it. The lone wolf inside the Horse can at times push others away, but this also makes this Sign stronger and is a key to its success. Horses are self-reliant and, though they might lose interest fast in a tedious, nine-to-five day job, are willing to do the work necessary to get ahead. Horses tend not to look much at the big picture; instead they just follow their whims, which can result in a trail of prematurely ended relationships, jobs, projects and so on. This Sign really knows how to motivate others, though, and get a lot accomplished. Once they find some peace within themselves, they can curb their wandering tendencies and learn to appreciate what’s in their own backyard.
It’s all true of me, minus the good with money, raw sex appeal, and life of the party ![]()
“…where romance is concerned, the Rabbit’s sentimentality can lead it to idealize relationships. The sweet, sensitive Rabbit often ends up giving more of itself to a partner than is realistic or healthy. The good news is, when this Sign goes off-balance, the Rabbit’s core group of friends and its stable home life help bring it back to center. The Rabbit is a rather delicate Sign that needs a solid base in order to thrive. Lacking close, supportive friends and family, the Rabbit might just break down in tears at the first sign of conflict. Emotional upsets in this Sign’s life can even lead to physical illnesses. Rabbits dislike arguments and other conflict and will try anything to avoid a fight; this results in something of a pushover nature. Rabbits can also lapse into pessimism and may seem stuck in life — often to mask their insecure natures. Rabbits tend to move through life’s lessons at their own, rather contemplative pace; it’s a waste of time to become exasperated with this Sign’s seeming disinterest in facing its problems and conquering them.”
this could not be more wrong hahaha.
so, I guess I’m not in tune with my Asian astrology.. but in regards to the western zodiac, I’m a Leo and I pretty much act like one spot on. Hot tempered, outspoken, loud, fiercely protective of the people I love, always taking the initiative to do things, love meeting new people and keeping in touch with as many as I can, etc. It’s funny, I never really got into zodiac signs and astrology until recently and now I’m very interested by it. My coworker is also a Leo, and I see so many similar personality traits. Her hubby is a Libra, and guess what..? yep, Paul is also a Libra. Apparently Leo-Libra is a good match ![]()
I’m a rabbit.
Fixed season – Spring
Fixed element – Wood
Associated Sun Sign – Pisces
Fixed Direction – East
This is what my sign say:
imid and attractive, the Rabbits of the Chinese Zodiac tend to act more like bunnies, whether they like it or not! This Sign is extremely popular and has a wide circle of family and friends. Its compassionate nature leads it to be very protective of those it holds dear, but where romance is concerned, the Rabbit’s sentimentality can lead it to idealize relationships. Rabbits tend to move through life’s lessons at their own, rather contemplative pace; it’s a waste of time to become exasperated with this Sign’s seeming disinterest in facing its problems and conquering them. With the right partner — meaning someone whose high principles won’t allow it to take advantage of this sensitive, giving Sign — the Rabbit can make an incredibly loving and protective partner or family member. Rabbits love to entertain at home and always make sure their house is comfortable and tastefully-furnished. What Rabbits need most is a stronger sense of self-worth and the security that comes with it. Their discerning natures, coupled with some hard-won assertiveness, will help these happy creatures go far.
Well, I definitely don’t like conflict so that is true. I don’t like to entertain at home though but I love to have my home clean, comfortable and what I think is tastefully furnished.
Astrology: don’t get me started. I know my chart. Walked into a New Age bookstore one night years ago and they said “are you here for the class?” so I stayed and learned all about it.
I’m a quadruple Scorpio. Look up Scorpio and see my picture. Sun, Ascendent, Neptune and Mars all in Scorpio conjunct in 12th house. Astrologers used to look at my chart and then look at me in trepidation. Not flattering. I’ll stop, but if anyone wants a quick lesson in Astrology, just ask. Scorpios love mysticism.
I’m a Rooster in Chinese Astrology. I believe that takes the edge of of the Scorp stuff and makes me normal. ![]()
“The Rooster is the strutting peacock of the Chinese Zodiac! These quick thinkers are practical and resourceful, preferring to stick to what is tried and true rather than taking messy, unnecessary risks. Roosters are keenly observant. It’s hard to slip anything past a Rooster, since they seem to have eyes in the backs of their heads! This quality can lead others to think the Rooster is psychic…”
Same with Scorpios. Must be psychic. Hey! I heard that!
Interesting Rabbit Pam! I will have to look up a bookstore
My mama was a Rooster too!
It says rabbits are also quiet,… er. Not true at all ![]()
I’m a virgo and a sheep:
Daydreaming all afternoon sounds heavenly to the Sheep. This creative, esoteric Sign needs plenty of time alone in which to feed its Muse. Sheep are generally most comfortable in their own minds (which other, more linear-thinking Signs may have trouble deciphering). This Sign makes a great craftsperson or artisan, or perhaps a teacher of New Age studies — any occupation that allows its mind the full range of freedom. Sheep tend not to be very well-organized, precluding many more dry business endeavors. In fact, Sheep tend not to be very materialistic in general, finding plenty of riches in their own imagination. However, especially when in love, the Sheep can be quite a lavish gift-giver. Perhaps it’s that artistic temperament that so often causes Sheep to feel insecure, but the result is that these high-strung creatures need to feel loved and admired lest they start worrying incessantly. For this reason, Sheep tend to have a hard time with romance; anyone who couples up with a Sheep must know, this Sign has a sensitive streak a mile wide and can be subject to bouts of anxiety over seemingly inconsequential things. Sheep need plenty of love, support and open reassurance from their lovers. If a relationship is marked by conflict, the Sheep will often pull away — either physically or simply by retreating into the safe haven of its imagination. If the romance is going well, however, Sheep won’t hesitate to tell their partner what they need — and they can be quite insistent about it! This Sign will definitely return the favor, however; the Sheep has a luxurious side that delights in indulging a lover’s every wish. Appearances are also important to the Sheep, which may explain why these folks can spend hours primping and posing. Sheep would be well-served by learning to relax and let others run the show from time to time. Once they can be certain that their friends and lovers won’t be gone when the Sheep returns from its daydreams, life will be a field of daisies.
Hmm…the Virgo profile fits me a T. The sheep one does to a certain extent. lol
I love Astrology! I used to be super passionate about it and had tons of books on astrology and fortune telling. I used to read Tarot cards for my friends at school. I’m a Pisces (born February 23, 1982) and I fit the Pisces description to a T.
I’m a complete dreamer with a tendency toward melancholy. I’m also super creative. This trait also fits me very well:
Such people have a curiously mystical side to their nature as well as the practical. They are often classed as superstitious, the occult in all its forms appealing to them in one way or another. They love to search out or investigate the unknown, the philosophical, or the mysterious.
I don’t know much about Asian Zodiac. I’m a Dog and fit it well because I’m extremely loyal.
LPT, you definitely sound like a true Pisces, which makes us a trine. We water signs love our esoteric studies. Tarot cards –
ChaCha, what was your mother’s astrological sign? (And they’d have to say rabbits are quiet. They don’t talk!)
I think I am a Sheep. I fit that description to a T, more than the Rooster. But then it’s typical Scorpio to appear to be something else. ![]()
I’m a Pisces and a rat. I think Pisces is just about the exact opposite of my personality. The rat has a couple things I can identify with (like being curious and learning new things), but in general it’s also completely off base (the stuff about being concerned about money and always looking to get ahead). I guess this is why I’ve never believed astrology for one second! haha
LPT, so funny that we have the same birthday and the same sign, but opposite personalities. I’m logical, not emotional, and into science and practical things over art and poetry. The opposite of the Pisces in every way.
RabbitPam, my mom was a Libra! Acted like one too! hehe!
Elrohwen- That is weird!
E, not really. I once was told that Sun Signs are like saying you’re from NYC instead of a farm in Iowa. You have to look at your whole chart to see what else is there. New Yorkers have much more in common with each other, and so do farmers from Iowa, but after that individual personalities can vary totally.
You probably have a bunch of planets in Aquarius and Virgo or Capricorn. ![]()
I study basic Astrology like signs in planets.
I just want to let you know that link isn’t really “Astrology” and it is more like “Horoscope.”
Astrology is more complicated than horoscope like for instance, Lovechacha claimed that she is Gemini. That’s a sun sign but what about her moon? It MAY not be Gemini. It could be Pisces if you are sensitive to other feeling. (Moon is a planet that describe how you feel)
Astrology: Me –> Taurus sun in 6th house, Scorpio moon in 12th house and Scorpio in rising star. I would love to learn more about chart but no time
Horoscope: Umm, Don’t believe this part but I’m earth dragon and Taurus..
Thanks. I’m just doing this for the fun of it.
Geminis and Libras are trine sun signs, so they usually get along easily. What’s your Dad? (I’m guessing a Taurus. Don’t ask me why.)
And Her Highness Miss ChaCha Cheeks could be a Leo Princess.
I read on that sight that I am lucky to have it becoming the year of the Dragon, as that is much better fortune for me than a Rabbit year. I sure hope so!
This is a fun Astrology site, with lots of free info. http://www.astro.com/cgi/ade.cgi
If you click this link and enter your birth info. it will create your chart. That will tell you your Ascendent (ie. rising sign), Moon, etc. Which is the detailed info. I was referring to. Have fun!
My dad is a Pieces!
Hehe, Chacha is very bossy and would fit the Leo sign ![]()
Pam, interesting – I’ve never seen my chart, so I guess it could be completely different from the general Pisces personality.
I’m a Sagitarius and a Pig. lol. I so have the temper of a Sag, thats for sure, and I am definitely a lover of luxury like the Pig sign says. Naps are awesome, naps in satin sheets are even better! lol! I may even admit to other parts of the personality of a Pig too, maybe…. ![]()
Interesting link RabbitPam. When I looked up my birthdate, it showed a lot of true things.
Pam, I checked out the site. I like that it’s free!
I put in my information (not down to the birth minute, but I got the hour) and it’s still pretty far off. It’s not the typical Pisces stuff, but I didn’t really identify with any of it. Oh well!
Elrohwen,
We didn’t want to tell you, but you were found in a Cabbage Patch. You were about 2 years old and green cabbage leaves were not really your color, so your parents took pity on you (they were strolling by one day) and took you in. They made up your birthday when you wanted a piece of cake one March afternoon. Sorry.
ROFL!!! I almost spit out my tea.
Cabbage Patch Kids were SUPER popular when I was a baby (think Tickle Me Elmo or Furby type popular) so maybe you’re not far off.

Actually, by definition, horoscope is “a forecast of a person’s future, typically including a delineation of character and circumstances, based on the relative positions of the stars and planets at the time of that person’s birth”
While Astrology is “the study of the movements and relative positions of celestial bodies interpreted as having an influence on human affairs.”
Sure Astrology is more in depth than just 1 planet, but that link is definitely astrology and not even relatively horoscope ![]()
In case anyone is wondering, I’m a Ox …
And a Gemini ![]()
Ooh that chart thing is really cool!! I looked up the relationship one and I really related a lot to ours! My personal horoscope was pretty awesome too, haha apparently my ascending Leo makes me a bit blunt “It would be beneficial to you, however, if you were not so candid and frank and if you did not expect others to act and feel as you do. ” heh. whoops!

LOL!!! Astrology – the road to self-awareness. ![]()
Leo is tough in any place in the chart. I have a Leo moon, and it kind of makes the emotions dramatic – like if something is wrong you like to cry and swoon around and indulge in chocolate and go back to bed in luxurious sheets and make a big drama out of the whole thing. Someone once said if you’re in a bad mood you may as well enjoy it. That’s what Leo Moon does.
With 4 planets in Scorpio, which squares my Moon, it kind of slaps that stuff down and takes over, so I don’t really show it. Scorpio always controls Leo – eventually. ![]()
You usually find a Leo King with a Scorpio Prime Minister calling the shots behind the scenes. (As in Disney’s Aladdin. Not that we’re all villains.)
I can’t agree more with mine, I am a Fire Tiger and Gemini.
Eccentric and dramatic, Fire Tigers are aglow with passion and verve. They are outgoing, expressive and look on the bright side of things. They have the Tiger’s natural ability to lead others and are able to excite others simply with their own gift of enthusiasm. They can be funny and have great senses of humor. Tigers are powerful speakers and have the ability to command and persuade crowds through speech. Their own seemingly endless supply of energy can make them appear a bit dramatic, and it may make them more sensitive to cautious or down-to-earth approaches in others.
Gemini, the twins…completely describes my personality.
