  My name is Lea Ann and my bunz bunz is Arsenic. He is a six month old Flemish Giant. He is a big boy!
  
  I think alot of our friends are somewhat suprised that we got a rabbit. We are in our late 30’s and have no children – we have been asked many times why we have a “children’s pet”. They think we took him in from someone or saved him after Easter. Perhaps a topic for another day, but it made me aware of how many people view rabbits – bunnies need some serious PR to promote them as the awesome companion animals they can be!
  
  We actually decided on a rabbit. We did not want an indoor cat or dog. The next thing we get is suprise at how big he really is. We decided on a bunny after alot of research and discussion, but this was he first time we had a house bunny.It has been an experience! The forum has helped alot.
  
  Unfortunately this is the only pic I have right now, which does not really show his size or color well. The tiles are 8″ x 8″ square, and he is bunched up ready to jump – so you can get an idea how big he is!

  I agree. I’m a married, 33 year old woman and adopted my pair of buns to be my “babies”. He is very cute and I can’t wait for more pics too.

  I agree that the image of rabbits in society can be a bit… skewed. But you don’t need to worry, you won’t encounter that here.

  Oh I can tell he is big…and very handsome! I agree it is ridiculous how people view rabbits and the type of pet they are. All my friends and family are always so surprised when I tell them I have to leave an event to go take care of my babies. They have this idea that you feed them water them and change their cage every so often and that’s it. Most are shocked that I have rabbits that are rarely even in a cage. The funny thing is my cat is the easiest thing to take care of in comparison to them .
  
  The energy of a rabbit is so much different than a cat or a dog and I really can’t imagine not having them in my life.

  Every time I tell someone about my rabbits not being in cages they go “eww, poo all over the house!” *rollseyes* most people have this weird idea that bunnies are rodents, live in cages and cannot be trained to do anything. Everyone gets all shocked that he’s litter trained, doesn’t chew up the house and will happily be pet / jump on the bed with me for some lovin’!
