The first thing is that when Toki drinks water, his tummy makes a kind of squeaky gassy sound? It starts as soon as he starts drinking and ends right after he’s finished. It happens every time, and it’s not too loud but I can hear it from 6 feet away if I’m listening. It also happens when I give him juice.

The second thing is that, when I pet Toki (especially on the head), he seems to grind his teeth a bit. I can hear it but I can’t really tell what’s going on inside his mouth. He definitely doesn’t mind being pet – he seems to love it, and will snuggle into the floor when I begin stroking him.

Both these things have been happening for at least 2 or 3 weeks and he seems fine and dandy, but just wondering if they could be signs of some problem like a sensitive stomach or a dental issue? Anyone else have these things going on with their bun?

          For the second thing,

This is knows as a tooth purr, rabbits when pet will sometimes snuggle into the ground and grind or chew their teeth this is a content sign or a happy thin and is no way on shape or form bad, it means your bunny is happy with you and what your doing feels right.

          For the first thing,

Rabbits sometimes make alot of noise while drinking, my bandit attacks his water bowl and drinks as if he has drank in a week and I giggle and laugh cause it sounds like agressive slurping and very wet innapropriate noises. Some rabbits are ninjas and don’t make a noise there is nothing wrong with your bunny he’s just thirsty!

My bunnies both squeak whilst drinking. It’s because they gulp I think.

Thanks everyone! I’ll stop worrying. The purr thing is so cute! It’s nice to know he enjoys being fussed over
