Anyone snowed in?

It’s cold here in Texas, but no snow fortunately.

It snowed once here this year, and melted the same day. Now is just rain

Here in the northeast, we got hit hard with a huge blizzard but it’s pretty much done now. It’s nice & sunny out but still extremely windy. The city is working on clearing the streets. I have to pet-sit for my sister who is stuck in Montreal due to the extreme weather conditions. It’s not advisable to drive but luckily most of the subways around here are running so I’ll probably take that instead of taking the risk of getting the car stuck in the snow.

 Yes!  Something like 20″ or so?  Hard to tell… Here’s what it looked like in my parents’ driveway this morning (where my husband and I are currently staying)…

 

 

They do NOT know how to take care of the roads in NJ…but this is the most snow we’ve seen in a LONG time…

that’s a mean pile of snow, Ali. Did you get all that in one night? At least you had a white xmas. I hope it’s the light and fluffy kind of snow, it makes a difference.

Eeeeeeeee!! Snow Bunnies! Careful not to lose Neigey!!! There is also the risk of bunny nappers taking him away…I’ll dress all in white…I mean, the anonymous bunny napper could dress all in white.

We didn’t really have a white Christmas. There was a little dusting of snow but mostly green showing. Last night we got about 10 cm of the predicted 30 cm. We still got out to go Boxing Day shopping but the mall only opened at 12:00 due to the snow and wind. Another 10 cm or so tonight.

The town is pretty much shut down right now….my dad had to go to work because he works at a hospital…but the roads were verrry quiet today. My husband and I are off all week anyhow, so it works out fine for us! I think it’s actually between 20 and 30 inches with snow drifts. It was hard work all that shoveling! And yes it was all in one day…started around 9/10am and stopped by late evening, so it was a lot all at once! Lots of wind too…so we could barely see the road when the gusts blew. I would love to see the bunnies in the snow..but I would probably lose them! So cute Petzy! I love that pic!!

Snow bunnies in a snow fort!

I had no idea Neigey was only 3 lbs. He’s tiny! No wonder he’s so aggressive. It’s like fighting with a snowflake.

We’re having a cold snap again here in FL, so it’s gone down to about 32 degrees at night, which is pretty frigid for the natives here. I was thrilled today, when it got up into the low 50s and I have lost enough weight (25lbs) to fit into my old but gorgeous leather jacket again!!!!
Several members of my family and old friends in MA are probably sick of shoveling right about now.

Does not being able to drive count as snowed in? lol

We have gotten about 6 inch total over a couple of weeks here in central Illinois. Not enough to count as snowed in. We’re supposed to get up to 40 degrees on Saturday which will probably make it a nightmare out there. Snow melting then freezing again.

I *can* drive. I don’t think my doctor wants me to do a lot of driving and I haven’t tried yet. I figure if others are willing to cart me around, I’ll let them! LOL

it is ccccold here in sunny uh windy florida.    we didnt get any rain saturday like expected.   was very cloudy sunday too.

going to be 22 tonite.   

I would hate to have to shovel snow like that.   hubby sick my back bad   I can see it now.   honey we are staying in.    send someone else out for my allergy med.

dang those cars are buried yikes                I like it cold    but my sick doesn’t.     Neighbors are sick now too.

the shoveling is bad… that’s the one thing that I get tired of as winter draws on.

In SW Michigan we have 50/50 grass/snow- it snowed but them most of it melted.  In NE Michigan- where my Mom lives- I was there last week and they have a couple of feet of snow- and none of it has melted.

Once we get some good clean snow- I will have to bring some in for the bunnies.  I posted pics a couple of years ago- I put the snow in the bathtub and then let the bunnies take turns in the snow.  I will have to be careful with Girffin and his super long ears to make sure he does not get too chilled.  I did learn that the bunnies tend to want to mark the snow after other bunnies have been in it- so that makes the bathtub perfect- just rinse the yellow snow down the drain!
