Hi guys! I’ll be in Las Vegas for one day. Lil bunny Allen will stay home with the mister who will feed him and take him outside to play. It’s my first time away from bunny ever (about 3.5 years)!!! I’m verrrry anxious and I will miss him terribly.

I’m wondering if any of you have ever been to Vegas? If you only had one day there what would you do? Even if you haven’t been, is there something you always wanted to do there? I’m going to a show my first night, so I don’t think I can squeeze in another one unless it’s late at night or early in the day.

which show are you seeing? The thing I’d always recommend is the beatles love show, but like you said, might not have time for that!

I’m going to the Cirque du Soleil Michael Jackson show! Almost the same thing probably lol! I wish I could stay longer but I’m so worried about Allen and that something would happen and I’m not there to help. I also have a lot of social anxiety so I’m not sure I would even do well trying to stretch the trip out

I was going to suggest a Cirque show, so sounds like you will have a great time! I’ve seen Love, O, and Mystere, and they were all awesome and completely different. I’m sure you’ll have a great time!

If you’re looking for something to do after the show there’s a really cool/pretty cocktail bar in the Wynn called Parasol Up/Parasol Down. It has all these parasols hanging from the ceiling that slowly lift and lower. If you go on the upstairs part it’s “Parasol Up” and the downstairs is “Parasol Down”. It’s really calming and beautiful (the Wynn in general is really nice to wander around).

The other thing I like doing is going to brunch and getting mimosas the morning after.

I’m sure your mister will take great care of bun bun. You can always have him text you pics of poop to reassure you!

LOL poop pics sound really comforting actually! I’m glad y’all suggested Cirque shows anyway. That’s the reason I’m going (plus meeting my mom there since she has some work in Vegas). Makes me feel better about the decision to go! Being apart from my therapy bunny will be so sad tho. Waaaaaaah!

DanaNM that bar sounds awesome, I’ll try to check it out! I was thinking about brunch too. Are there any cool buffets you know of? Or should I look for a restaurant for brunch?

I’m not big on buffets these days (I can’t really eat enough to make them worth while), but there’s a place in Planet Hollywood that I’ve been too a couple times (they have decent bottomless mimosas lol): https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g45963-d422986-Reviews-Lombardi_s-Las_Vegas_Nevada.html

There was a nicer place I went to years ago that was really good… it had a patio outside, but I’m struggling to remember which casino it was in. I think it was this place, I recognize the patio: https://www.yelp.com/biz/morels-french-steakhouse-and-bistro-las-vegas

Really you can’t go wrong just yelping for places near where you’re staying though.

The only thing I know of in Vegas is the famous bunny dumpsite outside the hospital. Not even sure if it still exists and whether there are even any bunnies there as of now, but I’ve always really wanted to go and visit the poor little muffins

Thanks I’m with Boo! That sounds really interesting. I found the place you’re talking about, I think (Desert Willow Treatment Center at Jones and Charleston boulevards). It seems a bit like Rabbit Island in Japan and I really want to get swarmed by bunnies! I’m definitely going to try to check it out. There are articles about a few different instances of people going there to kill them. That makes my heart hurt

The infamous bunny dump ground in Las Vegas is being dismantled. I believe over 75% of them have found their way into a no kill shelter. Small Pet Select donated a van to help ferry all of the bunnies across the country.
