Ok frist off going to say that there is NO way I would have done this with Anya if one of the ladies was not a Bunny lover and owner and had been since she was a young girl. Also the kids have in the past had exposure to Bunnies and know about not picking them up and being quiet.
That said, Anya went to Pre Prep today! (aka 4 year old kinder). She was a champ. I dropped her off with the little boy i look after at around 8.30am and left her their for the day. The lady kept her semi covered in a quiet corner and the kids had to ask to be able to go up and talk to her. Then at morning tea time they all sat in a circle and she was allowed out and they compare her to Theo (the teachers lop who is MASSIVE and comes in a few weeks of every term) and she hopped around and got pats from people and then they took pictures (which I can’t post for
) and then she went and had some lunch and then another play in the afternoon and then back to the quiet covered corner so that she could wait for me to pick her up at 4.30pm.
She seem totally setted and even binkyed when i put her back in her cage so I know she is happy to be home and not overly stressed. It’s great and also means that the kids got the understanding that this tiny cute thing you see in the pet shop is going to end up like Theo who is really MASSIVE I have never seen a lop THAT BIG!
He’s got to have something else in him.
Anyway i just thought I would tell you about Anyas day out. We thought of taking Bugz but I think he is to shy and he got to spend the WHOLE day out of his cage with me at home so I think he had a good day as well
