I know there are some gamers here and just wondered if anyone plays StarCraft2.  My husband taught me to play it over the weekend in hopes to find a game I can play after my surgery.  Just curious!

Thanks! My husband played all through high school with a lot of friends but it seems like no one plays anymore. I’ll add you next time I go one. I’m still getting the hang of it. I just started the campaign last night.

You mean Starcraft or Starcraft 2? SC2 just came out this summer.

I have it, but have only really done the campaign and a teensy bit of multiplayer with just my hubby

SC2 is a lot different than the first one and a lot easier to pick up for new learners.

Yeah, the only reason I play is because of my boyfriend haha. We play together sometimes.

Campaign is awesome, as long as you paid attention to when the game was installing, the backstory it told you from the first game. And multiplayer is also fun, when people don’t use cheap moves ;(

There are 1v1 2v2 3v3 4v4 for multiplayer. Or if you’re friends with someone, you could make a party and you and the other person can do 2v2 together. Same thing for the other modes other than 1v1 obviously : )

Ahh my brother has it but I am so bad at those games…a few years ago I played that warcraft frozen throne and would play the game DOTA, defense of the ancients or whatever, but people were so good at the game they would just take their boss and rush me while I was trying to build my kingdom of awesomeness and then I was out of the game. I was really pissed off and stopped playing those types of games. I get the same thing when I try to play counter-strike….my friend knows I’m bad and he plays on teams for real money….he just runs up behind me and knifes me. NO FAIR!

I’m not very good at these kind of games either but I’m determined. I’m going to be laid up on the couch for a while after my surgery and I’ll be on crutches for 8 weeks. I need something to do with my time. Anyone have suggestions? Books, movies, games, ect……

If you like things with vampires/werewolves, there is a book series by Charlaine Harris with a main character called Sookie Stackhouse. It was made into the show True Blood, but I have heard the show is unlike the books.

I am also reading Patricia Briggs’ series of Mercy Thompson, also about werewolves/vampires, but mostly werewolves.

Plants vs Zombies, Zuma Deluxe, Diner Dash are all casual games that are fun.

I also do a lot of crocheting. It relieves a lot of stress and I like to make things. There are also so many helpful videos on YouTube if you need to learn how to start or do stitches. I’ve been crocheting since I was 9, and sometimes I still forget how to do certain stitches haha.

Thanks for the suggestions. I’ll look into them. I’ve also been thinking about reading The Sword of Truth series. I’m not a big reader but it’s kind of hard to read with 2 little girls in the house. I do crochet and have been for more than 20 years now.
I’m one of those people that bounces from one project to another. So I can’t sit still for very long. lo This should be interesting………

oo the Sword of Truth series is excellent. So is the Sookie Stackhouse series, if you like vampires, shapeshifters, and sex >.>

Sookie Stackhouse does have some sex scenes, Mercy Thompson’s are implied, but nothing compared to Sookie Stackhouse haha.

I love the Sookie Stackhouse series lol. It’s so much better then the tv show..but I still love True Blood too. My other fav. author is Chuck Palahnuik (spelling?). He wrote Fight Club, Choke, Lullaby, Diary, Invisible Monsters..etc.. All were good but very strange. I tried to play different mmo’s like Perfect World and Battle of the Immortals but I keep going back to WOW. I never tried Starcraft though, might some day.

Lintini, that’s why I refuse to play multiplayer stuff. I’ll play Halo or something with DH, but he tries to get me to play online with him and I refuse. Everyone is so much better than me – what’s the point? I like playing with DH so he can kill the big mean guys and I can kill the little annoying easy guys. Haha

And I think SC2 is the most popular game ever in Korea, so plenty of people still play 😉 DH was over there last fall for work and there were ads for it *everywhere*. Apparently they have professional teams and the kids who play on them are more popular than the sports stars. Crazy.

SC2 is huge in Korea. It’s a national sport. We also have tournaments here in the US worth $3000 for a winner : D

SC2 isn’t an MMO, it’s an RTS (Real Time Strategy). If you’ve ever heard of Command & Conquer, that’s what this is, but with space stuff. SC1 is still played by people, but it’s mainly taken over by SC2 fans.
