Hi everyone. I did some research on rabbit breeds and have been trying to figuire out what breed my bun is. I was thinking maybe an English Spot but I’m not sure. She is a decent sized bun for only being 3 months old. I’m going to try to ask the lady I got her from if she has any idea. All I know is that my bun looks like her dad and that her mom was all black. Any Ideas?? Thanks

Hmm I’m not sure how much she weighs but I would say maybe 3 lbs?

Her whiskers are white and black and theyre straight out with maybe a lil curl at the end…

I agree, she defintely has some mini-rex in her. Is her fur very plush feeling? My mini-rex is so soft and plush, it’s unreal.

Yup, I’d go with English Spot.

this is a pic of the english spot.  the body shape doesn’t look right, unless she’s a cross of a couple things… from this site:  http://www.geocities.com/Petsburgh/1451/breeds2.html

her full -grown weight will tell you something too…

                              Hi

You may be missing the “short” part in the “short & soft” question about the fur. I have a bun who has a similar backbone-stripe, dark nose, and some spots (although not as plentiful as your bun’s!), and I was told she’s an English Spot. She’s much fluffier (aka, less skinny) than the picture above.

Rex’s have REALLY short fur. Think velvet…it’s soft, but you’re really petting the tip of the hairs. It’s so short that it almost stands up on end. Lizzy’s soft, too, but her fur is about 1/2″-3/4″ long, so when I pet her, it lays down flat.

Does this make sense? It may lead you in one direction or another. But she’s probably a cross. As is Lizzy, probably, too!

the more i’ve been thinking about it the more i realize she’s definately a mix of two things. when she stretches out she looks more like an english spot yet when shes just hangin out she looks like a rex. but her fur isnt like a rex’s. i’m so confused lol so i’m gonna assume she’s a mix of both lol
