Any fun or not so fun Weekend Plans?

I actually have a busy weekend ahead – usually I sit around and relax, but not this weekend. Some friends from work are having a party on Saturday. A manager from DH’s department invited us to his house on Sunday, so that makes two parties. I’m less excited for the second one because it’s mostly people from their department, not people we’re friends with, plus there will be a ton of kids, but it’s nice to meet new people sometimes.

I also need to do some gardening work. I have a lot of extra tomato and pepper plants that I want to put in containers, plus I need to plant herbs in other containers. Good thing the previous homeowners left us with about 20 terracotta type pots on the back patio (they had them filled with flowers when we moved in). I also want to add mulch around the base on my plants in the garden. The bunnies are great for gardening – the litter from the top of the compost pile becomes mulch because there’s so much nice hay in it, then the stuff on the bottom of the compost pile gets mixed in with the soil. So much better than throwing it all away like I used to.

I will be hanging around the house. My brother is coming in June and we’re having a cookout for family to come see him if they can. So I have to help my dad clean the house with what I can. I also have a book club meeting on Sunday.

Saturday, lunch with my girl friends from the last rabbit rescue I worked at – looking forward to it.

Sunday, dinner with dad and brother and niece.

So just lots of eating this weekend…better keep up my walking to walk off these calories.

My weekend plans : Play games with boyfriend, probably go out to dinner, do shopping (bunnies are running low on greens, ack!). Call my grandmother cause she’s still prepping for surgery.

Studying immunology/pathology…all weekend…lol. Almost done with the semester though, so definitely looking forward to that!

Satruday I have to study for my exams and then I really need to work my horses… I am so not looking forward to working with my 5 year old. He hasn’t been really worked in quite a while so he’s going to be fun. Lotsa bucking. Lovely. Oh, and I also have to probably birth a couple of goats in the wee morning hours and do a ridiculous amount of poop scooping. Gotta love having horses *grr*
Sunday I’m going to be looking at property and going to church an hour and a half away. Then I get to study some more Woot Woot! Actually, I don’t mind studying. Especially if it’s Math, Science or Creative Writing. English, Arabic and Art History? Not so much. Good thing those are all pretty much done with. I just have to write my final for English Which is probably what I should be doing right now

It’s a long weekend here… for everyone but me I’m working 2 jobs at the moment, but I was actually going to get 2 days off in a row (I normally work 6 days with 1 off). I work Saturday at the clinic when we are open and Monday when we are closed. Even though we are technically closed Monday, we’re on emergency so it wil probably end up being crazy busy. Holiday weekends are always crazy! Pets getting away from housesitters and being hit by cars, dogs swallowing fishing lures and getting them stuck up their noses, people getting drunk and just generally forgetting their animals exist at all… We see everything. Animal control/SPCA are frequent visiters on these weekends.

I’m off Sunday at least, so I plan on laying around in the backyard getting some Vitamin D

I’m heading up to Indiana to grab a cedar chest that my grandmas had in her will for me. Oh–and go swimming.

Tonight I’m going out with a friend to see another friend’s band play They’re awesome! Then tomorrow, it’s BBQ time at another friends house. mmmm bbq. Then Sunday it’s RA meeting time. It’s the 10 year anniversary meeting for Rabbit Advocates! Woots!

Ohh, my band is also going to be in the studio recording an original song this weekend! Definitely excited about that as well. We’re going to be the nerdiest band ever though, studying between takes haha.

Saturday: Ride Strauss and give him a bath, his most favorite thing to do *sarcasm* Then gardening and spending time with the grandparents. Hopefully having a nice summery dinner outside.

Sunday: HOMEWORK. Like all day. And cleaning. Meh

We’re having people over almost all weekend, it’s going to be busy. I still have cleaning to do; and I really want to get some gardening done. We’re picking up an above ground pool tomorrow. I rode today and I’m hoping to get in another ride sometime this weekend weather permitting. Yeah it’s going to be busy! We are lucky, we’re in one of the only counties in AB that doesn’t have a fire ban this weekend, so I’m definitely having a fire!

Yipee! Long weekend here and its gonna be gorgeous! Sunny and 20C plus all weekend.

Gonna be spending lots of time at the stable today and tomorrow. There is a barrel racing clinic being held there and I get to watch for free. Will also be riding my horse, maybe a trail ride.

Also, less fun, we have to rent a tiller and put in a new garden. Our garden is in a part of our yard that is too sunk in now so it cant drain properly and nothing ended up growing last year. Im really not a green thumb and I dislike gardening and yard work. I wish I enjoyed it, but I dont.

This is the first weekend in a long time I can say I don’t have any major plans
I’m going to relax and spend lots of time with my bunny since I missed him terribly while I was away. I might also fit in some more work on the move and the garage sale. I decided to give myself a break before I have to start inventorying the almost 100lbs of beads and accessories I brought back with me from Colorado.
