So I was walking around our local organic gardening center the other day and noticed they had some very nice parsley plants on sale. I checked them out and they seemed to be in very good condition, so I bought them. Well, when I was transplanting them into pots, I discovered one of the reasons they were on sale. They seem to be infested with ants.  It’s not major, although I can tell it’s getting worse. I’ve googled ways to get rid of the ants (without pesticides or any other harmful contagent) and I’ve now found myself overwelmed with the many, many, many ways people swear to get rid of ants.

I’ve seen that some of you all also grow plants for your buns and I was wondering if you’ve had to deal with ants in herb pots. My only problem is, I want to kill them, not drive them away, because all of my plants are on my porch, which is set up as a greenhouse. So, I don’t want them to just move into other pots of vegetables that I have and it’s too cold here to temporarily move them outside. Thanks in advance for any suggestions

ICK. I’ve used vinegar to kill ants and pure cinnamon to repel, but I’m not sure if it would hurt your plants or not.
