Hi All,
I am kind of new to this forum, but have a question that I thought maybe some of you experienced angora owners might be able to answer. I am a new angora mix owner (my girl bun picked him out as her bondmate…haha). He’s the sweetest bun ever, and we both love him, but I still have a learning curve related to having an angora…
In my research, I have gotten mixed info about whether or not angoras need some extra alfalfa protein in their diets in addition to their regular high fiber timothy. And, if they do need alfalfa, what brand of food is good? Should I add in some young bunny pellets, or is there a brand that sells higher protein adult bunny food? My buns currently eat Oxbow Natural Science (it seems to work really well for my girl’s sensitive tummy…) She used to have gas pain frequently, but hasn’t had an incident since I switched her over to Natural Science. They also get a variety of leafy greens everyday.
If you have any opinions about anything addition I should do or add to my new angora’s diet, I would love to hear. He’s also blowing his coat right now…I think I’m figuring out the grooming thing, but would love more input on his diet. Thanks!
