Okay so I’m sure I am crazy, but I just brought home another bun yesterday. The foster mom that I got Mugsley from had him when I first went to see Mugs and I had been asking about him and no one else has really shown any interest and I kind of fell in love with him…well and more importantly my boyfriend REALLY fell in love with him…sooo yeah. He doesn’t really have a name yet….so on to pictures!

        He is a big boy!

He always looks like he is about to take off lol

His favorite is the bunny castle I made…we had to make some of the openings bigger for him though!

Okay so the other question I have is if anyone here has any resources or forum topics that relate to bonding 3 unbonded rabbits? I found a couple on the forums, but its just like a member asking if it can be done and thats about it…nothing more elaborated on if they actually went through with it. I am prepared to take care of all three seperately, but it really would be easier if I didn’t have to…but I already know that that is a possibility.

Thanks in advance for all the help!

Oh and one last picture…this one is of Mugs though

        I ARE KING! …Oh I really am a slave to them =)

Your new bun looks a lot like my Miles! Except Miles is like 2-3 lb., not such a big boy. He’s very cute! I’m sure you’ll pick a great name for him

He’s cute! Love those ears!!!! You’re not crazy. I have 3 buns too. Unless I’m crazy…and then that makes us both crazy.

There’s a couple ways to go about bonding multiples bunnies. The first is that you already have a pair, and you introduce the third. This can be tricky when the pair excludes the third or one or the other fights for their mate. Introducing a third can also break an existing bond between the pair. The other method is to start fresh with 3 unbonded bunnies and bond each pair separately. I think this is the most successful, but as you can imagine this is incredibly time consuming. I have followed threads where bonding sessions have gone on for close to a year.

You would do normal bonding sessions but alternate who is with who:
                Bunny A and Bunny B
                Bunny A and Bunny C
                Bunny B and Bunny C

You might want to start a thread in bonding when the time comes to get more detailed advice. Are all of the bunnies altered? Has the new one been vet-checked and gotten a fecal exam?

Thanks Beka! They are all altered and he was vet checked before his surgery which was a little over a week ago. The foster mom I got both my boys from works with a rabbit and guinea pig rescue group in a more north part of florida, so they arranged for that all to happen. Should I still bring him to my vet? Or do I go off of what they said?

I would still got o your vet, if only so your vet has a record of how he is health-wise. The shelter vet could have missed something, too. Never know.

I always go to the vet to get a base line for their health. Also I have three two are bonded and the one is not, there are a few reasons for this. Anya would bond with any rabbit and the bonding between her and Rufus went well however his smell on her made Bugz attack her so we tried to bond Rufus and Bugz and that went to hell with Ninja Bugz coming into play (did you know Bunnies can leap sideways???) so after about 4 failed attempts i gave up left Rufus by himself with the cat (who he loves) and Bugz and Anya as a bonded pair and have not tried since then and everything is working now I have living arragements worked out so no more pee wars going on in my house. Hope that helps.
