  Hi! Lets just say that ASL(American Sign Langauge) is more or less my entire life…does anyone else here take an intrest in it or speak it? It’s the most beautiful language I have ever seen. It’s the reason i wake up and go to bed, because I know that tomorrow it will be there. I love it so much. I also sign songs and am always looking for critique so if you guys would like I can post a link to my youtube account. And if you sign songs I would love to see it, it is a beautiful art!

  I have customers (I work a grocer as a cashier) that use sign language with me and (I have never taken ASL) it is easy to pick up on what they are telling me.

  I took sign language years ago. Don’t remember allot of it but I would LOVE to learn again. The person who taught me doesn’t teach any more though.

  mocha200~you should look into some classes! there are free ones all over the place, and its a very handy and beautiful language to know! If you want I can give you a teacher I am taking from now(: just message me.

  I would love to learn sign language – I actually am interested in teaching and I think that would be a useful skill to have. Sadly, I only know a very few basics currently so can’t critique anything.

  My cousins know sign language. They have an uncle who was born mentally handicapped. He’s high functioning but he was taught sign language because he doesn’t speak the clearest. So that’s why my cousins learned. And I guess one of them will be teaching her baby to sign because children pick it up fast and it’s another way for them communicate.
  
  My brother exgirlfirend signed as a career. I guess she made good money interpreting at events – like conferences, etc.

  My next door neighbors growing up have a def son. I used to babysit for them, so I knew a couple of signs a long long time ago. Things like yes, no, please, thank you, sorry, and go potty

  I don’t know any of it at this point, but around 6th grade we learned some for a class and my friend and I got pretty good – we could carry on whole conversations in the cafeteria so other people wouldn’t understand us. lol
