Hello and welcome! You’re bunny is so cute!
-Your rabbit only needs 1/4 cup of pellets. If you want, you can split it in between two meals (I would just so he looks forward to something yummy), that’s what I do with my bunnies except they get 1/4 cup two times a day because there are two bunnies. I reccomend the Oxbow Adult T rabbit pellets. My rabbits have been eating it their entire lives, and they have never had a major health issue. I buy the 10 lb bag and it lasts my two bunnies around 2 months.
– Your rabbit should be eating at least 3 cups of 3 different types of veggies each day (if he doesn’t get diarreah eating it. If he does you can slightly lower the amount). My two rabbits eat around 8-9 cups of veggies each day, usually including a base such as romaine or red leaf lettuce, 1 bunch of cilantro, and either some parsley collard greens, etc. as a mixer upper type thing) Make sure to wash your veggies throughouly (I personally only buy organic veggies from the farmers market and sometimes the grocery store)
– Hay. Hay is the main part of a rabbits diet (80%). Your rabbit needs to eat AT LEAST it’s body size in grass hay each day. NO ALFALFA OR OTHER CLOVER HAYS. These just make rabbits fat and they contain too much calcium. Grass hays include timothy, orchard grass, or oat. For picky rabbits try oat hay. Most rabbits really enjoy it. If your rabbit doesn’t really like hay, try mixing up as many types as you can and add some flower or dried herb forages. Most rabbits prefer farm fresh hay than storebought hay.
-Fresh, cool, clean water. I provide water in a bowl and a bottle. Most rabbits prefer a bowl as they can take larger sips, but I provide both as one rabbit prefers the bowl and the other likes the bottle.
I hope I helped a little and please ask me if you have any other questions!!!
