Okay it has been around  3 weeks after spay and my sushi has started some digging behavior that she only does in her litter box. She never really had too much before her spay but now it happens a lot! I have changed litter and that does not seem to be the issue. The issue kind of goes away when I take her little box out of her area? I have no idea what to do… will a digging box help? Any advice will help! Thank you!

A girl rabbit can absolutely have a hormonal surge three weeks after a spay. It takes longer for girls to settle after a spay, sometimes a lot longer. A separate dig box in combination with a litterbox screen (so she cant dig out the contents of the litterbox) could have effect. Digging is a core behavior in female rabbits especially.

This may subside yet. There are girl buns that need 6 months to settle after a spay.

Oh my 6 months is a long time! But thank you very much for your suggestions! I will be looking for a little box with a screen for her!
