I know what every bun parent uses for litter is different, I just wondered your experience. Plus, where do you get them? Also, I was looking into getting wood stove pellets but I have no idea where to find them. Did anyone find them online?

I use carefresh litter with my two bunnies. I put newspaper in the bottom of the litter box to make it easy to clean. I have never tried using wood stove pellets.

I put a layer of Equine Pellets down and then a layer of Carefresh over it (he likes the soft feel of it). The pellets absorb the pee wonderfully – I buy them at Tractor Supply, ~$5/40lb bag (lasts me forever). Carefresh I have on autoship from Chewy.

I get wood pellets from the Tractor Suppy store but you can also look for wood stove pellets. They work so well and there is never and smell from my rabbit’s cage. I just put some hay on top so its soft for my rabbit’s feet and because paper bedding makes her sneeze.

I can 100% recommend the Equine Pellets from Tractor Supply!

They’re only $5.79 for a 40lb bag and last a longgggg time. I first put these pellets at the bottom of the litter box and then a layer of hay on top. You could also use Carefresh on top of the Equine Pellets instead of hay, but just make sure you put something soft on top of the pellets just so that it can be more comfortable for a bunny to sit on and use the bathroom.

I love the equine pellets from Tractor Supply. When we first got the rabbits, I bought this 3lb bag of wood pellets advertised as rabbit litter and it was like 15 dollars. The horse person in me knew about equine pellets, so I immediately switched to those. Where I live, Tractor Supply sells them for $4.50 for a 40lb bag. Definitely better than 15 bucks for a 3lb bag. I just put their hay in there and they do great with it.

I’ve always used Yesterday’s News and I like it so much I’ve never tried anything else.

So on the tractor supply website it says there is wood fuel pellets for $4.89 does that sound right?
