So as some of you will know, I have been preparing to get my new bun for a while now, I’ve been researching and planning, and now he’s here!
I thought for ages about what best to call him, but I’ve finally settled on Albus.
He is a French lop so he’s gonna get big, but at the moment he’s still small
(I asked lots of questions about French lops I’m sure some of you remember!)
He’s only been here a day now but he’s settled pretty quickly, he’s flopped and relaxed a few times and he likes exploring! He’s very sweet, if i hand feed him he sniffs and licks my hands to check for more food!
He licks quite a lot actually, and licks his lips often too. 
He used his litterbox straight away no problems and goes there everytime which is very nice and easy! Of course I am waiting for the day he stops this and goes nuts and then we’ll know it’s time for the snip! 
I registered him with a vet today reccomended by the RWAF so I’m feeling very organised. As you can see he’s still got his baby ears so one of them isn’t flopped down yet! Side note: The people I got him from fed him veggies, (which I know they shouldn’t have done) but I think I read that if they’ve been given veggies it’s best to not take them away but just give very small amounts – is that right?
With his hay ball.I got him from a breeder, and although I wouldn’t say I regret that (because obviously I love him now), I think in future I will go for a rescue because I didn’t like the way they housed their rabbits really
A little bit about me – I’m a university student in vibrant central London! I had rabbits when I was younger but they were outdoor bunnies and although they were healthy and provided for, in hindsight they can’t have had happy lives
Still, all that is changing with Albus, my first indoor bun! He has a big xpen and is very happy hopping about my room. I can’t believe how much I’m learning about him all the time! It’s hard to believe the way my old rabbits lived – how little I knew! My other hobbies include makeup and cooking.

He’s absolutely beautiful! Congrats on becoming an official bunny slave.
You’re correct, if he was getting veggies before it’s fine to continue. Try stick with what he was getting. Any new type of vegetable introduce slowly and keep an eye on the poos. Some really young buns will eat veg in with their mothers and do ok. It’s more if they hadnt ever had them, then a new owner gave them a lot after weaning age that there might be a gut upset.

OMG french lops are so cute…I wish I had had the room when I first got Caleb..I might have gotten one instead but Caleb is a holland lop
and he’s also my baby bunny. I got him at 4 months and I didn’t like the way the “breeder” (though I use that loosely) had Caleb…the cages didn’t have solid bottoms and they weren’t even feeding him hay. I wish I had went to a rescue also. Anyway I’m glad I got him….I know I wouldn’t trade him for anything now and I’m sure you feel the same about Albus. BTW did I mention he was so freaking adorable and that his ears are so long and I love that he’s blue beautiful little bunny and I look forward to seeing him get bigger. Welcome to BB
