I think I am going to invest in an air filter for the office/bunny room.  It just seems that since moving, the hay smell hangs in the bunny room a little bit and I smell it when I open the door.  I guess there is just not the airflow that there was in the old place or something.  Since my hubbie is developing mild allergies to hay, I think it is best to get a quality air filter.  I’m not looking for the cheapest filter – I want something that will last.  Do any of you use an air filter that you would reccommend?

This isn’t a deal breaker, but it would be nice if it was easily moved so my mom can use it at her house when she watches the bunny while we are out of town every so often. (She is allergic to hay, too)

I got ours (Honeywell) at walmart and my mom got the same one at kmart on sale. I would def. look for sales since they’re not cheap but we got the kind where you just clean the filter instead of replacing to cut down on cost. Interesting fact about the filter- my bun loves to sit in front of the fan side

We have both an Ionic Breeze and a smaller knockoff of it. They work wonderfully and we’ve had them for years now (somewhere between 5-8 – we got them while I was in high school, just not sure when)- we just have to clean them daily because we have a collie in the house!

I use a honeywell with cleanable filter and option for ionic (on/off switch for it), but I keep it off since it isn’t that great for the parrot. It works well, we originally got it because the neighbors at our old apartment smoked and the smell would come through the floors into our place and it kept that smell away.

And … bonus, the box it comes in makes a great bunny tunnel.
