So I come out of my computer room to grab a cup of coffee and see Addie half asleep under the rocker, so I snapped a pic. Went in the kitchen, the coffee pot was empty so I brewed some more. When I came back out of the kitchen, Addie changed her coat to blend in more with the carpet ![]()

LOL :~) Clever girl she is.
Those photos are adorable – wonder how they managed to strike the same pose too.
lol
I hope they don’t end up with comfy spot rivalry!
thats funny
That is so cute!
Awwwwww
Addie looks exactly like Sammy – and she’s shedding now – do you suppose her new coat will look like pix #2?????????
That’s hysterical. ![]()

Addie looks exactly like Sammy…
I seen that pic of Sammy in the duck thread and thought the same thing.
hehehehe! Mr Bill, that’s magic! How are they going? They appear to be nicely settled in the new home
(Is that Trixie as your avatar?)
Edit: Aha! I spots another tail in pic #2…you’ve been found out! ![]()
Haha too cute! Yes how are the two of them doing? Are they bonded now?
That is so cute how they did that.
Well, they are getting along a lot better. They’ll groom each other and lay together. But I still don’t have them sharing an enclosure at night time yet. They have free run of the house the entire day and they alway (get in to trouble) stay close to each other. But on a rare occasion Addie feels the need to open a can of whoop-@$$ on Benjie.
Actually, it’s pretty rare now. In fact the last time was last week when I took the divider out of the enclosure at night so they could share the space. I was prepared to sleep on the couch. That didn’t last 20 minutes, though.
Benjie is still skittish about being picked up. He’s just like a little gentle teddy bear. If you give him a treat, he just gently takes it out of your hand. He just prefers relaxing most of the day with Addie. But boy, if you leave the room and give him some space, he just turns in to a binky machine. He’s just non stop. Addie’s the energetic one, and Benjie blows her away when he gets going.
Outside he’s even more fired up. Our yard is fenced in, but it’s big enough that we’d never catch him if we just let him run the entire area. So we took them out a couple times on a leash. Addie was fine but Benjie was having nothing to do with that. So I bought some rabbit fence and made a 10’X15′ enclosure for them to run free in. They just love it.
It’s so fun watching them play. I even bought a new camcorder, mainly for taping them. I’m working on editing some footage and uploading it to share.
I find it less shocking that they struck the same pose. What I really can’t believe is that there is any wood left on that chair. I don’t even see so much as one tooth mark!
Goody! Look forward to seeing some footage. They sound like they’re getting on great. Do you swap them into each others enclosures? That may help them share that space down the track.

Oh yeah. I thought the same thing when they decide to make that area theirs. Our house is half bunny-proofed. Nice wood tables swapped out with cheap metal ones. We learned what needed covered / blocked off / replaced from Trixie.
Now you see it…

Now you don’t.

Just a little interior decorating. This style is coming back… right?

Although, we may have to call a wildlife trapper. I think we have a beaver problem.

On a serious note though, it’s this kind of stuff that just reassures me that I’ll be a bun lover for the rest of my days. When I caught Trixie chewing up the couch, all I did was clean up the mess, scooped Trix up and layed on the couch with her. She wanted her night time attention and I wasn’t in the room with her. So it’s my own fault.
She’d ALWAYS jump up at night when I was watching tv and she’d just lay on my chest until bedtime.
And having cheap furniture and uglyish barriers don’t bother us anymore. We just want the buns to share as much room as possible with us. It’s more important for them to be happy.
OMG, okay, I love Felony, but I’d freak out about the couch.
hahaha… thats definitely rabbity interior decorating! so, just to one-up you, trixie chews on the couch thru the lattice work which was carefully installed. ![]()
Those pics are a combo of all the rabbits.
The cushion was from our late Trixie. When I walked in the room and seen her sitting there on the couch, looking at me like she was waiting for praise for her interior decorating, I just ground my teeth for a second, closed my eyes, shook my head and let out a sigh. Destruction like that was far from normal for her. When I was brushing the little bits of material in to the dust pan, she was there just licking away at my hand and kept nudging it to get me to pet her. She was my princess and I just couldn’t stay mad. She meant more to me than many could understand. She helped me through a serious bout of depression. There wasn’t anything she could have done to send me off the deep end. She was (and still is) a piece of me.
The plastic around the couch I put up after we brought Addie and Benjie home. They’d get under there and try to get the other out, which led to fighting. And there was no way either one of us were sticking our hands under there between them trying to separate them. Of course, they’re a lot more attached now so I suppose I could remove it.
And people wonder why I don’t have a couch – he, he, he
Ahh, this post actually made me LOL. Thanks for that!
