For the past week or so, my Nellie Belle has been acting totally different. Usually she will run and binky for maybe an hour every day, and flop on occasion, but now the running and binkying is almost constant when she’s out of her cage, and she flops a LOT! She also sits on my lap now, by her own choosing. But she has also started peeing in a different spot in her litter box, and she has peed in the same spot since I got her. I don’t know why she would change now. She makes tiny grunting noises now when there is food present. What could cause these changes in her so suddenly?

Well that doesn’t sound like a bad problem. Just as with any animal as they mature and feel more comfortable their personalities come out for better or for worse. It’s very common in puberty.

Peeing in another spot – who knows, really as long as she pee’s in the litter box that is the most important thing.

Oh no, it’s not bad at all! I am just wondering how she could change so much just overnight!

              Sounds wonderful. : )
Most if us experience more standoffish behaviour from the girl buns when they reach puberty.

If you’re in the Northern hemisphere, the cooling weather might be why her activity levels have picked up also.

She’s always had a very sweet behavior, but it’s just magnified recently. I’m not complaining, though. Anything that gets me bunny cuddles is alright with me :3
