After several weeks of dating, my bunnies has been together 24/7 this week… And they seem so loved up and inseparable! The little things that used to spark fights (e.g. Sudden movements, jumping and butt sniffing) now end in grooming and flops rather than scuffles. And they’re basically inseparable… They even go over to get the other one before running up to me together. It’s so cute!

The thing that concerns me is that I’ve never seen either of them mount the other. Every bonding guide I read says this is an important part of the process. Do I need to wait for this to happen or do some couples bond without any mounting? I’m pretty sure my female is dominant because she requests grooms a fair amount and usually gets them – though she’s been asking less and less over the last few days.

Some rabbits don’t mount. My rabbits never mounted or humped each other.

Sounds all good to me! Mounting isn’t a necessity at all!
