i love going through everyone’s pictures.  it’s so much fun looking at all the adorable buns, and getting ideas for toys and games for rue.  one thing i have noticed, though…  without fail, y’all have spotless floors!  no stray pellets, no scattered hay….  how do you do it?!?  lol  do you vaccuum/clean *seconds* before you take pictures?!  ’cause that’s about how long it takes for my floor to be a disaster again after i vaccuum!  i’m jealous!

Oh no oh no.. no no..

You should see my carpet in the living room of the apartment I share with my dad..

LOL.. I track hay into my room and into my bathroom!

A good investment (so that you don’t kill your vacuum) is to invest in a shop vac. My dad got me one and it is GREAT.

Our buns like to hop to the places where I’ve just vacuumed minutes beforehand and leave poops. They know who’s boss… apparently it isn’t me.

hahaha that thread is AWESOME! lol i actually have a shop vac, from back in the day when i had my first rabbit. i’d totally forgotten about it, buried out in the shed somewhere. guess i should go pull it back out!

it’s funny- i don’t remember rabbits being so messy before (mine, or the couple i fostered). maybe i just didn’t notice the mess as much. now, i have a just-turned-three year old to point it out to me. “mommy! rabbit poop, mommy! MOMMY! rue pooped, mommy! you clean it up now, mommy.” ha! no wonder it seems like every time i turn around, i’m cleaning up poop!

I try to keep hay on a blanket I give to my bunny, but when she gets a bunch of hay in her mouth, she somehow drags it off of the blanket.. and thus, creating a mess.

EDIT: Today is cleaning day for me.. time to pick up the old hay and vacuum the floor.

This was cleaned when I went into the shower… this is how it looked when I came out…. Does this make you feel better? (Hint: The giant ugly sheet of cardboard really makes cleanup easier, but it really isn’t big enough)
