oh my gooooooooodnesssss! hahaha my sweetlittle-smartipants-mango-bun did a little shake-rattle-and-roll and “open sesame”. the cage door opened and the prince had free rome of his kingdom once more! he roamed for hours, collecting treasures, leaving notes and eating the bountiful stockpiles! but then the evil witch flew in on her broom and cast a spell which closed off all entrances to valleys unprotected! the poor little prince was angered by this and hid in a cave in the “bedlands”. only the kiss of fresh basil, and butterletuce dressed in the prettiest carrots could convince the prince to leave his cave and join the evil witch(now a loving fairy godmother) on the hills of the “bedlands” for a cuddle and some treats!
hahaha and now that he knows how…. he keeps on doing it! so silly! so naughty but so darn qt!!! dont know if i should be angry or proud of the smartipants!
Sounds like he has you wrapped around his little paw :~) as it should be.
More like “bound and gagged” hahahaha but he is the boss and I’m happy to oblige! (So is the rest of the family- we going to visit my sis next weekend and I said I couldn’t go cause there is no one to watch him and his cage won’t fit in the car-so her boyfriend revamped a 2/2/1m cage just for him and they are going to bunnyproof their laundry room for him- hahahaha) “who’s the boss?” MANGO is the boss!!!
But I would be a very miserable mommy if it wasn’t for all the advice on this forum!
Yup, they know how to overpower us with their cute! Your little guy is obviously no exception to the “house bunny becomes boss” rule. You can’t ever get mad at them. Most of the time when my buns do something bad, it just makes me laugh.
We bunny people are very lucky, I think. ![]()
It is so hard to fuss at them. And to stay mad at them. Those cute little bunny faces. And when Cotton stands in his xpen and begs. HE knows when we are eating at the dining table in the dining room. HE can see us and we him. HE looks. lol. Then when I go into the living room he stands and begs moving his head side to side.
Irresistable.
I love your story and how you wrote it. Very good imagination and story telling. Love it. You are good. I look forward to reading more of your stories about the Prince and his kingdom![]()
One fine day the kingdom was scorching hot (42degrees) and the master of wind had abandoned the vilagers(AC still broken). The little mango prince was roaming the valleys and hills of the kingdom, in search of some relief! Unawares of his plight, the fairy god mother was very busy preparing a great feast for many guests and did not see the prince enter her kitchen of madness! Many gateways to lovely valleys were left unattended. Her hands were busy and time was of the essence and so the gateway to the icelands was also left open and unattended for many moments! When the fairy god mother entered the gateway to retrieve meaty delights from the upper levels of the icelands a sudden movement in the lower valleys startled her! She kneeled down and found the mango prince comfortably snuggled between snuggly sock bottles pillows in the cool breeze! Hahahaha
If anyone didn’t get that… Mango climbed into the freezer(his ice bottles are right at the bottom and cause I freeze the in the socks(just a little lazy) he made himself real comfy right there! ( I’m slightly horrified at the possibility that I might have closed without noticing him) silly bunny! Hahaha now… Until the entire AC system can be fixed, I put one of the bar fridges in the living area(where he spends most of his free time) gonna see if he will lie there in the heat of the day! Hahaha
And ja… Can’t really get mad at them! He just zoomed over my face on the bed, leaving 2 nasty scratchmarks… But he streched out against my leg just after and all was forgotten(just have to use foundation to cover the evidence for a while)
Oh niniliefie, what truly magical stories you tell! Can you make my Henry sound so endearing? For all of Mango’s naughtiness – how can you say anything other than ‘aahhhhhh…. how cute!’ when you tell it like that, LOL! I’m a big fan too – can’t wait for tonight’s bedtime story! (gosh your good!).
Hahaha I’m surrounded by kids ALL day! Think I might have forgotten what it means to be an adult! This idea actually came from one of my patients- he wanted to hear a “labbit stoly” and I could think of any, so I just borrowed a day out of Mango’s life… (Silly me… What abouth the rabbit and the tortoise)
This little one does so many funny things… I could write a book! Hahaha
Not that anyone would encourage pet gift giving – but gee, it sounds like Mango was a wonderful gift for ‘you’!
Let me know when your book is on sale ha ha hah – I’ll be first to buy a copy!
The valiant prince and the great dane
On a hot summers day, prince mango decided that he would accend the great mountains to view the outer kingdom through the glassy fog. He had been to these mountains many times before and was well aware of the great black shadow lurking just beyond the glassy fog. Many times he has faced this shadow, sometimes fear would grip his heart and he would run and hide, but as of late, he has been calm, well aware of the inpenetrable force of the glassy fog and the protection it provides. The fairy god mother was not concerned because even when the fog was thin, a fair layer of siflike clouds kept them out of reach but in range of smell for each other.
On this particular day, the prince was left to his own devices as the FGM relaxed under a cool waterfall. A sudden noise startles the FGM and as she knew that although strong, the siflike clouds could be destroyed with the right amount of force, she hastened herself to the mountains, expecting the worst… But to her great surprise, it was a sweet and pieceful scene. The great shadow, leaning against the glassy fog apeared to be making friends with the valiant little prince, blowing kisses in his direction and the prince was standing, staring kindly… The FGM was not planning on exploring this strange friendship, but in the back of her her mind, she couldn’t help but wonder…
Haha! That’s awesome Niniliefie. My parents have a great dane. They’re so gentle I always think they’d be great dogs to introduce to rabbits. Right now my parents’ one is still a puppy and a bit boisterous but I’m thinking in a year or two it could be great!
