  hi all, i’ve been gone for a little while, a little busy with life. the bunnies are great…if anyone remembers me talking about winston he is becoming super friendly and will even hop in my lap and sit there to wait for treats!
  
  anyway, when i was out of town my boyfriend got a rat. a friend was moving and couldnt find anyone who wanted her. sam was worried she would become snake food or end up as a science project, so he took her.
  
  at first i did the whole “we can’t have another pet thing!” but i just met little Penelope and it really was love at first sight. im learning a lot about rats and we are already upgrading her from the junk food with seeds that came with her and ordered her a huge cage online. she is so friendly, clean, and likes to play.
  
  does anyone here have rats and a recommendation for a good rat forum?
  
  also, i’m not going to let her play with the bunnies obviously but she does have a huge ball she loves to run around in, i was wondering if she could be out in the ball in the same room with the bunnies? i’m going to call my vet about it but was just wondering if anyone here has had experience with rats too.

  I used to own rats. They’re such wonderful pets! I definitely recommend Jorats.com as a good forum. They are very informative and friendly there. You should check them out

  thank you sooo much everxanimate! i joined jorats.com and already got a message from someone in my town who fosters rats, so we are going to adopt 2 more! i’m going to meet with the lady next week to adopt and also just get some professional tips. its been a great resource so i’m very grateful for your suggestion.
