Hi, everyone! I found this site yesterday and i’m really liking it!
Well, my name’s Rebecca and I have mini lop bunny named Amelia Earhart.
I had always wanted a bunny, and one day my dad surprised with a little boy bunny. He was such a sweetheart and I loved him, but I was younger and naive about bunnies, and he didn’t get the best care. But I did love him, and after about a month of debating I,with some help from my dad, settled on the name Einstein, because he was so smart. Unfortunately right after settling a name things started to go downhill. My dad picked me up from school one day and told me Einstein wasn’t eating and didn’t look good at all. Well, when we got home we discovered him having a horrible seizure. We rushed him to the vet and I held and comforted him all the way there. I don’t remember much of the visit but he did have to spend the night. Einstein didn’t make it
My dad had gone into the pet store we got him from to let them know, because we were friendly with them, and the owner was very sympathetic and offered him another one, free of charge. So a week after losing my boy, I come home to my dad holding a beautiful girl bun. He had named her Amelia Earhart, going along with the “famous” names, and didn’t want to leave me up to coming with a name because it would take forver
. I’m sad to say I wasn’t the best owner for her first year, I lost interest, and I still am shamed about that, but Amelia is still so sweet. About a month or two i’ve started pampering her and built one of those cages with the storage blocks, and blocked off an area of our basement where she lives so she can be out whenever she wants without me having to worry about finding her in our endless pit of our basement.
She is not spayed yet but I will hopefully be getting that done soon. I also want to get her a companion but want to get her spayed first.
So, enough of the boring talk, onto pictures!
( I really hope these upload)
((sorry about the quality, they’re from my iPod. Our camera’s broken -.-))
The bunny she is laying next to is named Snowy. He’s a “school pet” that goes with my mom to school and lives in one of her teachers friends kindergarten classroom. He is a flemish giant, I believe. Unfortunately, neither of them being fixed they aren’t allowed to hang out out of cage. I really don’t need baby bunnies.
