  My bunny, Luna, got spayed yesterday. She woke up from surgery at about 4:30 pm. Yesterday morning, before surgery she ate 1 1/2 cups leafy greens, 1/4 cup oxbow pellets and nibbled on her hay. Yesterday night, after surgery, she was force fed about 2 1/2 syringes of critical care. Today she has eaten about 1 cup of leafy greens, a small piece of mango and strawberry, a couple bites of hay, and, a couple bites of pellets. I also force fed her 2 syringes of critical care. I don’t think that she has had any water. I’m hesitant to bring her back to the vet because I don’t want to stress her out even more. She’s pooped twice today (probably a total of 10 pellets). Is this normal after spaying? Should I bring her back to the vet? I would give her more critical care, however, she fights me terribly (she kicks and tries to escape) and I’m worried that she may tear her incisions or something inside of her.

  I think she is doing ok. I would just keep and eye on her. Call your vet if you get conserned. Best of luck!

  Thank you, I’m terrified that she’s going to experience GI stasis but she just ate 2 more pieces of mango.

  That sounds normal to me! A little poop is better than no poop. Her eating/drinking should improve a little each day. If she goes 24 hours without eating, drinking, or pooping at all immediately call the vet! I wouldn’t worry, but definitely keep an eye on your sweet bun!
