A few concerns

It’s been a while since I’ve posted here, I had a few concerns. Fluffy has some dry, white little crusty spots on her ears, I’ve attached pictures below. She has one on the other ear as well. It looks like dry skin to me but I’m not familiar with ear mites, does this look concerning?

  

I also noticed two tiny black flying bugs crawling in her head/nose area the other day. I removed them and inspected her and didn’t see any more. I’m not familiar with fleas or what they look like so if anyone has any insight on this that would help!

Third, I’m curious if anyone has noticed their bunnies slow down with age… but also seem more depressed? Fluffy is 7 now and she doesn’t do much. She wasn’t always the most playful bunny but there are times now when she just sits and faces the wall looking depressed. It’s sad to see She’s also had a lot of health problems over the years and suffers from urine incontinence so it might be pain-related as well. Just wondering if anyone has noticed depression in their elder buns?

Aww, I had been wondering how Fluffy has been doing. She’s still having the incontinence issues I see. Has it improved at all since the last time you posted?

Hmm, the thing on her ear doesn’t look like ear mites. Probably dry skin. If it gets worse or spreads, then I might be raising an eyebrow.
The bugs could be fleas. Sometimes they look like they have wings, even though they don’t. They will suddenly “disappear” because they will jump with lightening speed.
She’s a lop. There is the stereotypical lazy lop, I suppose. I mean, Leopold has never been very energetic. He is 7 now. I suppose he might had had a bit more energy when he was younger. But really, he’s always been kinda lazy. He often lays around or sits and stares. Not at the wall though. He will just stare. Sometimes I think he might be sleeping. Rabbits can sleep with their eyes open. Maybe Fluffy is sleeping?

LBJ- the incontinence is getting worse as shes getting older. I’m trying to keep her as clean as I can but it’s difficult when she hates butt baths! -_-

I just searched up fleas and she definitely had what looked like flea “dirt” or poop. I only found 2 bugs though… Is there something I can use to treat her at home or does this require a vet visit?

You’re in Canada, right? Can Revolution be purchased OTC there? You have to buy it from a vet in the US. But you don’t necessarily need an appointment. If your pet is a patient there, you can simply walk in and purchase it at the front desk at my vet.

You can dampen a paper towel and rub it over what you think is flea dirt. If it turns a reddish brown, it probably is flea dirt, which is mostly dried blood. You can also comb out some of the dirt onto a white surface and apply a few drops of water to it to see if it changes to a reddish brown.

when our new puppy had fleas and rookie was in the house at the same time I had to order revolution kitten from amazon to Canada. I also found a flea powder safe for bunnies at pet valu. just in case I sued very little of that just on my hands then I rubbed it into his fur as a precaution. I also placed some under the puppy pad in his litter box as the box suggested that you get it where the bunny goes but I did not want him having direct contact with the powder to be on the safe side. He didn’t end up having fleas from the dog. so I guess it may have worked. If you had your bun at the vet recently at she has been weighed and it hasn’t changed much then you should be able to get the vet to give you some flea treatment such as revolution specifically for your bun.
