Stickers has been on baytril for the past 2 weeks and she doesn’t like it. The towel burrito was not easy to do, she struggled and fought. But, she loves my boyfriends shirts (she has humped them in the past lol) so I grabbed a long sleeve shirt of his and laid it out on the counter by the kitchen sink, put her on it and wrapped the “arms” around her neck/shoulder blades, leaving her back half out and uncovered (she REALLY hates her back legs being trapped). Giving her medicine to her since then has been a cake walk, since she won’t struggle with “arms” around her shoulders.

Her round of baytril ends tomorrow and we’ll see how she does off of it. Then decide what to do next. She hasn’t been sneezing at all since she’s been on it. And she was doing zoomies/binkies/running around like a mad thing last night. So, she’s feeling a lot better. *fingers crossed the vet is wrong about pasturella*

Haha that’s cute! I wonder if she’ll be as fond of the shirts as she was before?

Its good whatever is causing this is susceptible to baytril atm. I guess ramp up the immune support measures now that she’s improved? In the hopes it prevents a relapse?

Wow, what a smart idea! Glad it is working for you.

Glad the baytril is working too.

I am not sure if she’ll like the shirts as much, but we’ll see. She doesn’t seem to mind the medicine giving so much anymore, since she’s not being held against her will and she gets a craisin afterwards. lol So maybe she won’t hate the shirts for holding her.

One dose left (tonight before bed). She sneezed yesterday after sticking her head into the hay bale (yes, it has a cover for a reason silly rabbit, stop crowding me when I go to get some!). We got some new hay though, it’s fresh this season, totally green and very soft/low dust. And I did a total redesign on their room, with two new litter boxes and I saran wrapped a throw rug in their room so I can mop up their pee so it all stays clean… which means cleaning the room 3-4 times a day. *frown* Trying to keep Powders fur down and any dust she can get to, to keep her nose from any irritants. And opening their windows every day to let fresh air in, with the ceiling fan on. And the A/C is running for them to keep her cool.

… and do I get appreciation for all my efforts? No. I get foot flicks and thumpy grunts for disturbing her. Rabbits. lol

She’s been off Baytril for a full day and a half and she’s started to sneeze a little again… *frustrated*

OK she has been off it for over a week. She’s sneezed 4 times total, but I think that was her sticking her nose too far into her food… I’ve been breaking up their pellets into multiple feedings so she doesn’t breathe in the dust from them while snuffling around the plate like a pig (seriously, this rabbit will eat until full, flop out for 30s on her bulging belly and get up and eat some more). So. It seems beaten, for now. *crosses fingers*

She’s being more affectionate now too, keeps coming over to let me pet her and she actually groomed Powder the other night! She never grooms him, always makes him groom her without giving anything back.

                      Fingers crossed.

Sounds like she’s feeling better and appreciative after all.

Maybe. Knowing her though, she is probably just trying to get me to give her craisins every night like when she was taking baytril. lol
