HappyHopper1,
I saw this post in the Unanswered section, and wanted to write a reply to you. It probably got posted on a busy day, and might have scrolled off the page before someone else had a chance to see it, so I want to say I’m sorry that you didn’t get any replies.
How is Minnie now? I’m not familiar with Strings either. I think your vet is the one to ask to explain in detail just what it is, what the treatment is and what to expect long term. Never hesitate to call or email your vet for questions after a diagnosis and visit. Most are pleased to have an interested pet owner who wants to learn more.
Your vet may want to see the yellowish stuff in her ears, and if she hasn’t eaten or drunk normally by today than you must get her to the vets IMMEDIATELY. I hope by the time you read this you have already gotten her checked again, or these things have resolved.
Many bunnies pee on their hay because they use it like litter. You want to keep the hay in a hay rack, possibly off the floor and hanging from the side of the cage. You can put it so she needs to stand in her litter pan to use it, and she will go in the litter while eating hay, which is common. Be sure to only have litter in the litter pan and not the floor,
