Hi all! This is my first time posting, but I’ve come to these forums for help with my rabbit numerous times before. I’ve had my bun, Moz, since he was a baby and I feel like I still haven’t formed a solid connection with him. I’ve tried to hold him and not put him down until he’s calm and sort of realizes I won’t hurt him, but I mostly just lay flat on the ground during his playtime and let him hop up to me for pets. Neither of these methods have really helped us. He also chews through everything, including the wet towels I placed on his cage to keep him cool today (he’s an indoor rabbit, but it’s 110F in AZ right now), no matter how many cardboard boxes, wooden toys, or makeshift toilet paper roll toys he gets. I let him have around 1-2 hours of play time every day, but nothing seems to calm him down at all. I don’t know if I would characterize him as aggressive, mostly because I don’t really have another rabbit to compare him to. My last hope was a neuter, and he was neutered about two months ago with no change in behavior or temperament whatsoever. The naughty behavior and lack of connection we have just really frustrates me and I don’t know what to do.
Send help. Any suggestion, advice, or direction would be really helpful at this point.
