Hey there, i’d like to introduce you to my litle bunny family.

The first one I would like to introduce is called Sivka. She’s a beautiful flemish giant. We are located in vancouver bc, she was saved from a bunny meat farm

She was the runt of her litter, and is currently almost a year old ! Right now she’s 14lbs Her name Sivka means ‘like grey’ in croatia, which I find is pretty fitting. She’s a house/deck bunny. But she’s really nocturnal and loves to make sounds in the night so she sleeps outside in her giant bunny pen. She also has free run of the deck during her nightly ventures so she can jump up on the table, down, and up onto the chairs. She’s an acrobate lol!

She comes indoors etc as well. and is litter trained

We also my landlords rabbit, he is a small lion head rabbit, and is kept seperate from my girly because they both arent fixed yet. However he’s so tiny……………. lol! like 2-3lbs

And we also have sunny, whos a cute little playmate of my rabbit. However he’s scared of her.. lol always running away…

        Me and my rabbit:

Me, roomate and Sivka and Totoro

Me and Totoro, it’s amazing how that is ALLL hair lol

I am a photographer sometimes, so heres totoro in a tea cup

        Sunny and Sivka

My landlord with the bunny and her cat Sunny

        Play

        My favorite expression lol

         hope you welcome us all

            Welcome! They are beautiful buns

I’m from Van City myself, so I have to ask… have you considered the predator risk for the bunny at night? Being housed outdoors is not a good place to be in Vancouver. Too many birds of prey, racoons, and even bears and mountain lions wander down sometimes. Not good at all for a prey animal. Can you consider housing her indoors in a room you and your roommate don’t sleep in so the sounds won’t bother you?

Welcome! You have a beautiful bun and kitty!
I love the picture of the little one in the teacup, he has a look in his eye that seems to be nothing but rage… Are you familiar with Jeff Dunham? I hear that little bunny saying “I keel you now!” in Achmed’s voice. Adorable! You should submit it to Disapprovingrabbits.com
                Hope you enjoy the site!

Hey there, theres not much risk of anything at night, the balcony is 2 stories high. I live near Langara college, and we’ve only seen coyotes so far. However, being on the second flore hasn’t been a problem with those guys.

Racoons havn’t been spotted so far, so im not too worried about them, with my buns being close to racoon size and all… she’s not agressive and just kinda ignores everything + the cat most of the time. Her cage is by my window and she lets me know whats going on by thumping, so far there hasn’t been a problem. I’ve been here since June.

example: someone walking outside on the ground at night she will thump to let us know if someone is sneaking beside the house. Thump echos throughout the house because of the woodsy deck placed above the kitchen.

Birds of prey is something I do worry about as we had one chilling outside on my balcony railing recently  and it wasn’t sure what to do about my rabbit…lol..kinda funny to watch. Buns was safely in her hide cage. She is always under cover though when a crow/helicopters or something flies over head, so I havn’t had cause to worry.

I come from new-brunswick out in the country and always kept my rabbits outside… non of them perished as of owning them due to wildlife activity, so maybe I am not as careful as some people should think, but so far its been fine.

All rooms are occupied, but as of since june this arrangement has worked out nicely. If it snows or gets too cold I will bring her inside, however having an awesome coat, being rabbit, and having a nice pen, she shouldn’t be bothered by that either… imo..

Lionhead bunny is kept inside though.

Beautiful pics! I enjoyed Totoro’s pic on DR. I recognized the name but couldn’t remember who’s bun he was.

LOL Totoro. Seems to be a popular bunny name right now.
