I just want to confirm, it’s this okay to feed?

I was scared that it might lead to digestive issues. it’s all over my hay (where I usually get my hay from).

Yeah, my buns goes crazy for the timothy hay heads, they dig through the hay just to eat those! That’s good to know.

I thought it was like horse grass. Does this change my buns diet in…[Read more]

As far and the azitromycin, they did not have an oral suspension option…

They only had tablets so I got this. It contains 3 tablets and each tablet contains 500 mg.
Can I work with this somehow?

Is there a way to make a suspension using these tablets?

I was able to go to town today… the only meloxicam that I could find is this one pictured below..
Its says it is 0.15 percent. It says that every 100 mL contains 150mg of Meloxicam. The bottle has 10 mL in it.

Medirabbit says 0.3 -1.2 mg per kilo body weight and day for this one… that’s a wide range lol.
But given the severity of the…[Read more]

Since the official move in of Walter and Boo, Boo is eating much more hay.  She wasn’t a big hay eater previously, so maybe compatition helps? 🤔

My girl Luna gets 1 treat every day (1 slice of dried strawberry) when she has her medication at night. Apollo is a little overweight so I might only give him one once a week. You can use pellets as treats too.

Its good to know that she will stabilize herself over time and actually I have seen her less wobbly and hiding less in the last day and a half… so this is good news! The last time she fell over was 2 nights ago…

Thanks for the disabled bunny resource… I want to help her be as comfy as possible.

With the fenbendazole, I have taken the…[Read more]

My Holland lop is 9 months old and spayed. She will NOT stop pooping and peeing on my bed!! I’ve tried everything and I’m exhausted. I tried replacing the duvet, nature’s miracle, vinegar/baking soda, EVERYTHING. I even tried putting a barricade around my bed but she jumps over. I tried establishing dominance. NOTHING IS WORKING. I don’t know wh…[Read more]

I was given steroid eyedrops at the very beginning of this before I assumed it was EC. Once the fenbendazole was prescribed I was told to stop using them because it can lower immune system and that would make it harder to fight the EC. Since reading your post yesterday, I decided to give it a try again and today she has been doing much less hiding…[Read more]

We are not vets, so we can’t give actual medical advice. But yes, it does sound like you may have been giving her the wrong dosage. If we are correct in our calculations (based on what you told us), then she has been getting a little over half the recommended dosage. This may explain why you haven’t seen improvement. At this point, I don’t know…[Read more]

Hi! I have an about 11 week old rabbit name Miffy who I’ve just adopted a few weeks ago! They love to run around and explore the living room of my house, which I give them free range over.

However, whenever I give my bunny toys, they do not play with them. They might lick or bite them for a few minutes, but then become uninterested.

    They also do…[Read more]

I’ve been in the process of bonding my two rabbits- they’re both neutered/spayed and about 2 years old. They’re rescues and had been solo buns at previous (and crappy) owners homes. I’ve had them separated at my house for a number of months as I worked to clear up some health issues with them. My male rabbit has shown a lot of neutral/good signs d…[Read more]

No personal experience, but I wanted to say I’m sorry you are having to go through this. While reading your post, I was actually going to suggest treatment with a nebulizer. You’re right, it might help dislodge the gunk in her lungs. With “regular” pneumonia, treatment/recovery can last up to 12 weeks. I’m not sure what the timeline would be for…[Read more]

The rex gene is recessive, so they have to get two copies in order to have the rex fur. It looks like maybe two? of these bunnies have the rex fur and the others don’t. Sorry, the pictures are small. If they are from the same litter, then it’s likely that a standard rex was one of the parents and the other parent had “normal” fur, but carried the…[Read more]

I just got these lovelies from a lady down the road a bit from me. She told me that they were all papered standard rex rabbits when she got them but she has since lost the papers. I’m pretty new to rabbits so I’m definitely not sure if this looks like they are standard rex rabbits or not.

    Hello,

When my boy was younger he typically didn’t prefer hay for the first year or two, he did eat it but just not too much of it. I found just swapping brands of Timothy hay helped as he seemed to get bored with the same.

Adding dried forage to his hay aslo helped.

The best thing to be honest I found was just to reduce his pellet intake to…[Read more]
