I’m happy to hear that, I hope you can get started on a course of meds and see some improvement. Testing for EC is notoriously unreliable so many vets opt to treat for it if there are any symptoms.

Ahhhh! That sounds awful! I am so bad about being physically ill because I get so worried! (I was sick to my stomach and throwing up once just leaving the buns on a 3 night camping trip 1 hour away!)

I’ve just found a clump of Glenn’s fur! Looks like it was a fur pull rather than a bite, which I’ve heard isn’t that abnormal during bonding.
Just to clarify I do not intend on posting every day and annoying everyone 😂 I just thought I’d mention this time because of the bite… Which may actually have been a less severe fur pull after all.

Very mediocre third date… A bite occurred.
I set them up for a date again in lounge as yesterday went well in there and still neither are outright aggressive, was a nice atmosphere for the first 5 mins, Glenn mounted a few times and ear groomed Bella, and a there was a couple seconds of head to head touching, then Glenn explored elsewhere and a…[Read more]

Rabbits dont respond well to dicipline. You might teach your bun that he cant chew on particular items when you are present, but he’d still chew them when you’re not there. I dont think screaming or yelling would help. Yelling will more likely cause him to avoid you. Its a lot better for your relationship that he doesnt see you as hostile or…[Read more]

Thank you very much. This was very helpful. The vet did say that EC is a possibility. I was able to get him to the vet today. He is there now and getting another good look at.

Yep they progressively go back to normal size during the day. I’ll start weighing her weekly, thank you for the suggestion. Do you think 1/3 cup of versele laga is a good amount? she weighs about 2,2 kg

yes, the vet did two x-ray scan one from the top and one on the side, they gave closer observation saying my bunny teeth root has overgrown just a bit but it is hitting her nasal spot which causes her eyes to get watery,, would her overgrown teeth root affect her in the future? The vet told me her overall condition is fine though and she does not…[Read more]

yes, they did two x rays one from the top and side,, they said thankfully the jaw alignment is alright but my bunny teeth root has overgrown by a little and from the scan maybe like a 2 cm estimate? but it is hitting her nasal spot which causes her eye to get watery and I don’t really think her URI is back again because she doesn’t have any…[Read more]

As long as she eats some pellets and lots of hay, she wont get nutritional deficits. Its good to keep an eye on her weight though. I weigh my bun in a bowl on kitchen scales. Ideally you want to weigh a bun every week and write down the weight. If you find she’s losing weight sth isnt right.
Small poops first thing in the morning probably means…[Read more]

Yes he checked front teeth and molars using an otoscope. It’s great she’s eating hay but I’m worrying she won’t get enough nutrients without pellet. And that strange behavior of being inactive when I’m sleeping is worrying me too since it’s followed in the morning by a batch of small poops

Such lovely pumpkins. I really miss carving them from my time in the US. They’re just so expensive here I can’t justify the cost. Since we’re in a different house this year I wasn’t sure if we’d get trick or treaters. We used to get 30-40 kids at our last place so I bought 3 packs of chocolates as a precaution. We didn’t have a single kid, which…[Read more]

Depending on how the roots are, the condition may or may not be treatable. Sometimes you just have to treat the symptoms and manage as best you can. The condition in that scenario is chronic. Did the vet confirm tooth roots to be the problem via x-ray?
I do agree with Bam that you should rule out a recurring URI.

ok, me again. Things have been going great the last few days, Friday we did about 3 hours and they at happily and did groom each other. There was a little bit of nipping and grooming standoffs but those were resolved with Buns grooming violet then going to eat more hay and Violet doing he same. The only thing that was new was when Violet was…[Read more]
