I reached out to a couple people to get some feedback, in addition to my own. The primary feedback comes from the fact that rabbits pee…. so anything made entirely of wood/with large surface areas of wood (like the landing area in front of the rack) is prone to being peed on and being hard to clean. Perhaps you can make the platform bottom a…[Read more]

Wick & Fable replied to the topic do bunnies like lava lamps? in the forum HABITATS AND TOYS 4 years, 9 months ago
Unless your rabbits are forced to be right next to it 24/7, it will likely be fine– it does not seem overly bright, and the colors of light has never been presented as concerns. Just be mindful that you’re adding a new cord into the rabbit’s free-roam space!

Unfortunately buns are picky animals and my experience is that if they don’t like, they won’t eat it. The only thing I can think of is maybe if you try to sprinkle some toppings on the hay to encourage him sniffing through and eat it… but in my case I just ended up using the hay Martini doesn’t like as a part of his bedding :))) and donated the…[Read more]

My cinnibun loves exploring and they both love going outside ( in my arms only because of rhv2 ). I think it is something they would enjoy otherwise I wouldn’t do it , my bunnies come before everything. I will see how they do in the stroller before going to target than, thanks.

I thought cinnimon was the dominant bun but I might have been wrong than. Cinnimon tolerates it for a few secs and kicks him off. They are getting along fine though. Is there maybe a way to stop him from it though because my dad wouldn’t be okay with it.

Bonding takes time and also takes several sessions. The bonding process takes, at the minimum, I’d say 1 week and at most, sometimes 3 months– it really depends. It sounds like the session was positive for a bit, and then as they stayed with each other longer, it went sour. This is a good sign to start with shorter bonding sessions, rather than…[Read more]

Wick & Fable replied to the topic Humping in the forum BONDING 4 years, 9 months ago
Humping is a dominance behavior, and some people even interpret it as “Hey, this is a reminder that I’m dominant and am going to look after you.”… obviously we cannot actually confirm if that’s the case.
This can be normal– a lot of bonded pairs actually have occasional humping. As long as it’s well-tolerated by the other bun and is not…[Read more]

I would definitely say a stroller– it is more sturdy and likely built of more sturdy material. Again, my recommendation is against actually doing this, but if it is something you really want to try, I’d first test how they do in the stroller/react to it and be accepting that things may change once actually in Target.

While rabbits can be quick to adopt routine, just like humans, things can change for them for reasons we’ll never really know. If all health-related behaviors are normal (eating, pooping, peeing, body language, general energy/motivation), then it is likely just his preference that there are evenings now he wants to stay out. From a rabbit’s…[Read more]

Hello all!
As you can see, today..I tried to bond my rabbits and both of them seem to eat, groom each other well for the first few minutes..p.s the picture above was taken today at a neutral place not in the place they live.
And then an hour after that, one of my bunny seemed to flop then all of the sudden my other bunny disturbed him? Also both…[Read more]

I saw Ollie humping cinnimon even though they are bonded. I am confused why. He never humped her when we were bonded them.

I would bring them in a pet stroller or pet sling ( which would be better? ). My local target is never busy, there hasn’t been a single time where I went and there were more than 50 people ( including workers ).

Hello, I’m writing about my bun Winston, he is about a year and a half and has been neutered. We’ve had him for a year now and have always put him in his cage to sleep for the night. He is a free roaming bun during the day on the first level of house but to sleep I always have more peace of mind & sleep knowing he’s safe in his cage for the night…[Read more]

There will be dosage recommendations pn the Benebac package. It comes as a powder or as a gel. Accidental overdosing is unlikely, there isnt really a max dose. Any surplus just get pooped out. You give it for as long as you see fit, then it can be given occasionally as needed.
Its great that you have timothy hay! There are other types of hay too…[Read more]

@Dorian: yes it’s crazy, and their attitude isn’t helping anybunny. I’ve talked to someone who is in the rat community, and it seems to be the same for rats. When they got wind of it that he owned one rat, he was sent away. The guy is a licenced animal caretaker…
