earlier today took my bunny to the vet considering he is laying on his side and can’t move other than just wiggling his body a little bit. You can tell he is trying move around and use his legs he just can’t. He doesn’t seem to be in any pain. The doctors suggested that he has a parasite and gave me medicine to give him however they didn’t give me…[Read more]

For that one corner of the rug, it sounds like that’s where she either likes to pee and/or it’s not fully cleaned there so it’s been deemed a place to mark and go consistently. We need to negotiate a bit with rabbits so simply more boxes in these locations might be needed.

I cannot attest to the safety of whatever specific dried herb you used, but keep in mind that dried things do shatter and get dusty, so yes, there is always a chance of something being huffed up. Scattering it can help.

I wouldn’t worry about it if he eventually stopped sneezing and breathing sounds fine.

I don’t think it has to do with hay, I moved the litter boxes to the other side of the room and she continued to pee on the floor in front of where the boxes used to be. I put a gate across the area to block it and so far she has stopped peeing there for now. But she does Also like to pee in this one corner of the area rug that’s not near the…[Read more]

Teddy turns 12 and a half years old today!  (We didn’t celebrate half-birthdays in the past, but at this point it feels like it’s time to start. 😉  He’s become an expert at napping adorably, and he even still hops up the stairs to the top floor of his bunny castle!  It’s thanks to your kindness and wonderful advice over the years that we get to…[Read more]

Had my rabbit for almost 3 months. His name is Panda and he is almost 7 months old. A few hours ago I gave him a little sprinkle of dried oregano. He didn’t know what to think of it at first, then min or so later he licked up some of it. First thing that came to my mind when I gave him some was, what if he sniffs some up into his nose. Would t…[Read more]

I don’t think the light itself would hurt anything. I agree with Wick on the cord.

    Thanks for the suggestions.

We’re actually using two low-sided litter boxes for him so we don’t think entry is a particular issue. Also because he’s older, we’ve been giving him joint supplements as advised by his vet. He’s a very fluffy long hair bun so matting on his underside can be an issue and since becoming older, he’s not doing as good of…[Read more]

Hmm… would Benadryl help? It’s hard to know if this is an allergic reaction or a systemic reaction where they develop symptoms similar to the disease. Which vaccine was it?

He might be having some arthritis that makes him less likely to jump into the box. There are some low-sided litter boxes for cats that I’ve had good luck with. I’ve also seen people use jelly roll pans or lunch trays as litter “boxes” for senior and disabled buns.

You should also discuss with your vet, some senior buns do well with some daily…[Read more]

Have you seen a noticeable difference with your bun wearing the socks? 😛

    Hi there,

My senior rabbit Sylvester has been going downhill with his litter box habits. He still primarily uses his litter box for peeing and pooping but the instances of him pooping and peeing outside of the box have increased significantly. We think this is due to his age as he is approaching 10 years old in December but it also seems to have…[Read more]
