Hello, thank you! I did switch his hay from timothy to orchard after his teeth floating, unfortunately it didn’t help him. I made him another vet appointment and hopefully he can get the correct diagnosis and can recover soon, I miss him running around everywhere and getting into trouble. Thanks again,

Hello, elongated tooth roots was what I feared. I made an appointment for him with a different vet to see if maybe a second opinion can help and an xray to check his teeth. Thanks,

I am sooo sooo sorry, I just noticed your post now. I decided to keep all of them. 6 in total 3 girls and 3 boys. 2 the mom and daddy/Uncle have since been altered. oopsie and Daizie are going next month and Echo and Shadow will be in April. There will be no more buns in this house hold. it’s a full time job looking after 6 bunnies each…[Read more]

Usually when bunnies pee on humans or soft things that smell like humans, it is them trying to claim the person or that soft area. Peeing covers your scent with their scent. Hence why we see a lot of complaints about bunnies peeing on beds, etc.

Hey all!
so Pearl will come up to me and start licking me for what feels like a long time, then he climbs onto my lap till he is close to my body then pee’s, I don’t get mad when he does this as I do not understand why he does it I just quietly remove myself and I go and clean up and come back changed, I don’t think he likes it when I change.

I’ve had several buns, too, but not all have had stasis. I haven’t had any with dental issues, either (one bun was on a “watchlist” but it never developed into a problem ultimately). However, it seems like some buns have been repeat offenders with stasis/gas issues, so we know to watch them carefully.
Our biggest problem in the house currently is…[Read more]

I don’t think so. I’ve had bunnies that had no stasis episodes and they lived very long lives.

I keep reading people claiming that stasis is inevitable for all buns and I’m so confused. Including current buns, I’ve been owned by 10 buns over the years and none have ever had stasis. There was one bun that had stasis like symptoms but it was not actually stasis, but a very rare bacteria shutting down his body. There’s been buns that poo’d…[Read more]

When I was a bunny noob, I didn’t realize the importance of spaying buns. I had a couple of girls who lived between 8-9 years old, but I’m not entirely sure if they died of cancer or not (although I suspect it in at least 1).
Like LBJ said, you may want to talk to your vet to see what they think of still doing the surgery for your girls. 🙂
