Hi everyone, my rabbit is having similar wound on his back and I just injected him last month because he was having mange on his feet and it was severe. I didn’t know what causes it at first but after reading your comments I’m having the conclusion that it might be because of the injection. I don’t really know what to do since I’m still a beginner…[Read more]

so i wanted to get my rabbit spayed and the vet wanted to make an appointment for a checkup first to make sure she’s healthy before the surgery. during her checkup he told me that rabbits have a higher chance of dying during the surgery than dogs and cats and that the stress of it could likely kill her, and that there isnt any way to tell whether…[Read more]

Thanks for the advice. We ended up taking him to an emergency vet in Massachusetts since every emergency vet in NH we called “wasn’t equipped to deal with rabbits.”

It was a good thing we took him in because he apparently has a broken jaw. He is being held overnight and will have a CT scan in the morning. From there the doctors said they’…[Read more]

I’m sure he’s fine. No need to stress over it. He’s eating and he’s pooping. As your vet said, poop varies and sometimes seemingly for no reason.

He is eating hay and just ate a handful of basil that I soaked in cold water. The nearest 24/7 emergency vet that will see rabbits is 3 hours away, and I really don’t want to subject him to the stress of that drive and being at the ER unless it’s necessary, but I certainly am worried as I feel like they should have gone back to normal by now.

Thank you so much! We went to the vet to get his RHDV booster about 5 hours ago. I mentioned it to his vet and showed her some photos, and she said that their poops can vary and be inconsistent sometimes without any real cause and that it doesn’t always mean stasis. He got his vaccine and did very well. We came home and he ended up pooping about a…[Read more]

Unless you have a leftover prescription of meloxicam/metacam, there is no pain medication you can administer at home that would be safe/adviseable. Definitely focus on getting your rabbit to the vet as soon as possible.

I found out this morning that my dad accidentally stepped on my rabbit. Min-Min squiggled away before my dad put his full weight down but I think he knocked his chin on the ground and has tooth pain.

One of his bottom teeth is slightly loose and pushed forward a little. He is very gingerly ate a bit of lettuce but hay and pellets seem too much…[Read more]

Happy New year! Hopefully Bun Jovi and the gang will be moving home this week, yay!

Bella looks so comfortable and adorable, I love her colors.

I don’t have any solid resolutions, I’m thinking of trying to move again but it depends. I’m mostly just so happy my buns finally bonded and my master bathroom under construction (for almost a year…[Read more]
